1974, seven seas of rhye....and killer queen, though that was it til i heard bo rhap in november 75.
...that totp showing of the video was amazing.....started saving my paper-round money to buy singles and albums...after opera and races, i back-bought - and queen II was the one that blew me away.....still does...incredible "kitchen sink" album...
i remember doing my homework late one night in winter 76 listening to radio luxembourg (spelling?) and hearing the "new queen single" and the vocals stunned me....somebody to love was simply stunning to hear for the first time.
then two years later Freddie showed his vocals were no flash in the pan when Don't Stop Me Now appeared

I was given a mix tape by a good friend at school, back in 1987, played it to death, and never looked back.

I love hearing from the older Queen fans, the original fans. My brothers age. Their the ones who really know what Queen were about.

born two years after Freddie's death makes me started being a Queen hardcore fans when I was a sixth grader. And it's too late so i just can watch all their performance through DVDs and Youtube, wishing they were somehow here again to perform and i'll watch it for sure; i know they're the greatest musical creatures that ever exist in this universe (sounds exaggerated, but isn't it true?)

I remember seeing something on the news about Freddie's death and my mom was kinda shocked. I didn't care much. From that day on, my parents started listening to Queen and I did as well. They had a GH1 CD and a copy in tape format to listen in the car.
An aunt of mine had Hot Space and ADATR and she borrowed them to me indefinately. By August 1992 she gave them away to me and I also remember getting Jazz, The Miracle and Wembley '86 from my dad and other family members.
I remember being on fifth grade in 1992 and singing We Will Rock You in the classroom during recess. A friend of mine kept the beat hitting the blackboard with an eraser.
A girlfriend of ours rushed into the classroom and said - very excited- "Cool! Which one of you is Slash??!". hehe :)
Maybe she had seen a part of the Freddie tribute or maybe she was just mistaken... :P
