Being relatively new on here, i was just wondering what you thought about the concert, who you liked and who you didnt like

I liked when George Michael did somebody to love and when Seal sang Who Wants to live forever, brian was in tears at the end of that, Roger looked very overcome at the end of We are the Champions

All the others were ok but the above were my favorite

I like the 2nd disc on the dvd special as it has lots of little extras of freddie on there and all the performers rehearsing

Roger Daltrey .... bits of the Extreme segments (basically any bit where he wasn't singing) and George Michael for the crowd response.

Elton's part, because I'm Elton's fan. He was really good as well. Roger Daltrey's part because he was awesome

I thought the tribute concert was excellent, but I agree they shouldn't have cut out the Extreme set.  I also don't like the fact that they removed Robert Plant singing Innuendo.  I know he messed up the beginning, but I would rather see the entire show than bits and pieces.  I don't like this trend toward presenting "cleaned-up" versions of DVDs - e.g., no Zeppelin at Live Aid, no Plant on the Mercury Tribute. I feel cheated. Plant actually handled the remaining part of the song pretty well, and the mistakes "humanize" him.  Anyway, I also enjoyed Daltrey, the girl who sang I Want to Break Free, and, of course, George Michael and Elton John. Fantastic!

Yeah that's the funny thing about Innuendo, there are moments during the performance where you really hear how it should have sounded.  It's a bummer he couldn't have been persuaded to try the song again a few years later - he hit a plateau in the mid 90's, he was fantastic.

I liked the Extreme medley, tie your mother down, I want it all and George Michael was doing ok.

Paul Young was probably the worst peformer, I think he really ruined Radio Ga Ga.

In my opinion it was overall a good farewell show for Freddie, but I always felt that two or three more big names would have put more value to the show.

What I really liked was the sound of Brians, Rogers and Johns performance, especially the red special, for example at the beginnings of Hammer to Fall and tie youe mother down...so energetic!

Favourites:
Daltrey- probably the best number on Tribute.
Plant with Crazy Little Thing Called Love- very intersting one, plus a kind of "dream come true". (Yes, you can call me biased).
Hunter and Iommi- were ok.

Least favourite:
Elton John- erm.... no.
Seal- erm....no.
Axel Rose- crazy monkey.
George Michael- can't bear the chap in general.

I think that SCC with James Hatfield was very enjoyable. And Roger
Daltre was fantastic. As for Somebody to love, George was wonderfull but the band did it better in the early 80´s, althought had a gospel choir live in this one was fantastic.
