Sure, Queen are making a few extra bucks in the twilight of their career. Why not? On the other hand, Kiss have been at it for decades.
Queen will be remembered for their music. Kiss will be remembered for their makeup, gimmicks, and action figures. I don't think anyone in their right mind can deny that.

As you noted, KISS have been clearly and consistently what they are for decades. Whatever. I do however care about Queen. It's true that they are at the point in their career where people generally begin to relax, broaden their focus, and actively tap into the dividends of a lifetime of work. Good on them- they've earned it a hundred times over. But people don't generally pick their semi retirement years as a golden opportunity to piss away their investments. Why risk strangling the goose just to wring a few more eggs out, and why double down on slick and empty talent shows and disingenuous, cheeseball stealth marketing? Stealth marketing using actual corporate puppets at that. The irony is rich.
On balance I do very much love, appreciate and respect Roger and Brian. But I think there is some cognitive dissonance going on in Queenland. Brian can continue to play the kind and benevolant uncle blessing the Jedwards of the world, and Roger can continue to wink and nod and try to have it both ways, but life eventually moves us all from fussing over our nest eggs to contemplating our legacy. And Queen have, however subtly, altered their legacy. I don't think anyone in their right mind can deny that either.
