Webb really made some dubious mistakes. Congrats to Spain, though. They were indeed better.

^ he was trying to keep the game flowing and keep as many players on the pitch as he could even though the Dutch were trying their very best to get EVERY one of their players booked/sent off by kicking anyone with a Spanish accent.

Congrats Vali...very exciting for Spain and a special night that will last for you all a long time I'm sure.  Enjoy the great feelings. :)

The final certainly won't win a beauty prize - but in the end only the cup matters and Spain was the best team throughout the tournament, the team is a truly worthy champion. I think the referees did a good job overall although they made some mistakes. There were some ugly fouls but the referee managed to cool down the heated atmosphere over again. You need that little additional piece of luck to score so late in the match. I feel sorry for the Dutch fans but there can be only one and maybe their team wins next time.

Everything depends on how much reward the players can get if the team wins the World Cup.  There is a Chinese saying that says a heavy bounty will bring forth a brave man.

I don´t know what to say .... always believed this privilege was reserved only to Brazil, Germany, Italia, etc, but ... we did it !! it´s unbelieveable !! ... and it´s a well deserved reward to staying loyal to a style, to a football philosophy.
