I like the wembley version better out of the 86 shows, but that 70's live version is the best out of all of them I think..... sounds like the studio record. the best live era for freddie's voice is the 74 to 77 and the late 79 to end of 82. That's my opinion at least...

I prefer 80's version, because it has very powerful "SO FUNNY" and "MY MONEY". It's a pity they played only first verse, though.

In my opinion, I prefer the 80s versions, because Freddie actually does the falsettos and goes for the higher notes (exception being Rainbow 1974).

Actually the wembley 86 version is my favorite....so powerfull.... Still the 74 version is awsome. not crazy about the 80's link you put up though.

one of his best performances ever right there!

Agree! Even if his full voice was shot (middle of the tour, and he had a cold), his falsetto was always great!

I think the ones from the '74 SHA tour were the best, for example the rainbow one. The 70's versions were pretty powerful in general and were a great way to close a show or a set. I never really like the 80's ones

You hated the 80s ones?

Just prefered the 70's ones a lot more

Hmmm, I prefer the later ones--because he actually goes for the notes!

Well for the most part I prefer any 70's version of a song better than an 80's version. I just loved the 70's versions!!! In the 80's ones he had to yell to get the notes

Hmm? I don't recall Freddie yelling his falsettos out... :)

I actually prefer his eighties versions as well and this is coming from someone who first saw Queen in 1973 .
When i last saw him at Knebworth 1986 it seemed to me as though he was going for the notes then more than he was in the 1975 A Night At The Opera tour.
