Seems as though that list was slightly different than the one on the site. I actually agree with this one more

The one on my website included some of the not-so-good sounding ones. As collectors who have heard hundreds of shows, we can't be biased by the ones that happen to have good recordings. Without a doubt, the Bingley Hall and Glasgow Apollo shows were better than Earls Court in 77. But for someone who simply wants to experience the goodness of Queen live, I'd recommend Earls Court because it's an easier listen.

#11, really? I really do need to start watching some of these shows. I don't have any from your list... and obviously you (and Sir GH) know what you're talking about. Those '79 Japan shows you mention have me curious.
It would be nice to see a compiled list of what Queen fans think the top 10 are. The ANNOUNCE section can be quite overwhelming. Instead of "What do Queen fans think of Jazz?" threads, perhaps reviews of individual concerts could be discussed more. Great thread.
Unfortunately, I don't own 10 queen concerts, I have only officially released stuff, so my contribution to this thread would be minimal. [/QUOTE]
Well this just gave me an idea. Would be anybody interested here in a 40 min. long version of the Tokyo 79 video created from 3 pro-shot sources ? I think I haven't shared here some stuff for a while

Yes, but to be honest I have sometimes a big problem to not to fall asleep during disc 1 :-) That's the "problem" of the "Races" tour, first they played a series of slow songs, and than a series of heavy rock stuff. On later tours, they mixed them more - remember One Vision, Tie Your Mother Down, IN THE LAP OF THE GODS ...REVISITED, Seven Seas Of Rhye / Liar / Tear It Up / A KIND OF MAGIC ...

But that was the very charm of it, the fact that they went through a diversity of styles before pounding you with the heavy stuff at the end.
Sure thing, bring on the Tokyo 79 DVD. But is the third source the two Absolute Greatest downloads, aka lossy?

Unfortunately yes. I used it because it has much "cleaner" image than the TV broadcast

Can't believe so many of you actually went to so many gigs...!

Is this Tokyo 79 show one of the ones they supposedly have in the archives? This would be nice to hear, particularly if they were including Crazy Little Thing on the set list (possibly?) prior to it's release.
Ahem, QPL, I would pay $20 for a nice DVD package of this show.
1. Earls Court 1977 (2nd night) 2. Hammersmith 1979 3. Japan 1975 1st May 4. Hyde Park 1976 5. Hammersmith 1975 6. Houston 1977 7. Rainbow 1974 20th November 8. Paris 1979 1st March 9. Golders Green 1973 10. Japan 1985 15th May
Well, just the first 3 are in order, I couldn't decide for the rest ;-)
