Battle of two very Good queen albums...Which one do you prefer?

News of the World - it has two of my favorite songs (It's Late and Sheer Heart Attack) and I think the rest of the album is much more consistent than Innuendo (which is amazing but also contains songs like Delilah).

VERY difficult but I will go with the studio l.p. entitled "Innuendo" because of "All God's People", the title track "Innuendo", "I Can't Live With You", and "Bijou".    Of course "These Are The Days Of Our Lives" and "The Show Must Go On" are amazing as well...

Thats a hard choice to make but I think i will say Innuendo

I know I'm a bit off with my opinion, but I think the choice is very easy to make.
Innuendo wins this match. A track like Innuendo or Don't Try So Hard just walks over trash like the dry studio recording of We Will Rock You or Fight From the Inside. And when we get to more Roger tracks, Ride the Wild Wind defeats Sheer Heart Attack, Brian tracks: Headlong defeats All Dead, All Dead. And on and on it goes...

It's like compairing an old beetle car to a new beetle car. The new one may be technically more advanced and yet the old one will bring up more memories.

You can't compare these albums. Recorded in different times and under different circumstances. "News of the World" shows the band full of energy and ready to "fight", which is expressed in several lyrics.
"Innuendo" is the grand finale when they knew that Freddie would lose his fight against AIDS and death is a central topic of the album.

"News of the World" was recorded analogue and with "real" instruments, "Innuendo" is recorded digital with keyboards and lots of programming. Soundwise "News of the World" probably wins, not only as it features some of Roger Taylor's best typical and recognisable drum fills. Something that went lost in the 80s.

Not to forget that "News of the World" contains those two songs, that became classics and standards in the sports world and will surely outlive everyone of us.

"Innuendo" is a great final album with lots of great songs (unlike the albums before). Sadly they were never performed live by the original band.

I love both albums....but they're slightly below the big four of Queen2 to a day at the races..  I'll compare each song.... We will rock you < Innuendo-   Though rock you is the real classic here, still like innuendo. We are the champions > slightly mad-  love both songs, but champions it is. Sheer heart attack > Headlong-  not that close, SHA any day. All dead All dead > I can't live with you-  All dead by a country mile spread your wings Vs don't try so hard-  Even,  Though i'm tempted to go with Spread your wings fight from the inside < ride the wild wind-  Very close, but ride the wild wing edges it out. Get down make love < All gods people-  opposite sides of freddie.  AGP is one of my favorites though sleeping on the side walk < these are the days of our lives- not so close who needs you > Delilah it's late > the hitman My melancholy blues > bijou-   Very close The show must go on > A very close battle for me....6 to 5 in favor of news of the world....1 even.  The show must go on could count for 2 considering it's a classic and going against nothing.  that would make it a draw, lol.

Whoa, whoa, whoa( Flick of the Wrist, psyche!) I forgot about "Don't Try So Hard" and "All Dead, All Dead".    There is no question about "Don't Try So Hard" being one of the best tracks EVER BUT I would have to say that "All Dead, All Dead" beats it!    "All Dead, All Dead" is AMAZING!!!

Innuendo, though not by far.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

I would say Innuendo is better, even though I find it a bit depressing in parts. It's got a more mature approach.

Ooooh, that's a question....
Innuendo. Hardly!

Innuendo is better, as there's no filler. Delilah isn't filler!

News Of The World's filler includes... Who Needs You, Fight From The Inside, and My Melancholy Blues.
