One of my all time favorites......
oh please can we start a thread for every song now?
Go on then!!!
when the album first came out i didn't really like it ,but it has grown on me over the years.Do any other members of the band play on this track? Or is it Freddie out on his own.I cant remember, its been a while since i have heard it.
There is some quiet brush drumming by Roger and some absolutely excellent bass playing by John, some of his best. No Brian though.
Great song.
Songs like Melancholy Blues is what made Queen so special.

Brian May plays on the Maida Vale studio version. Check it out...
Not the sort of song to listen to on a wet Sunday afternoon when your girlfriend has just dumped you !!!
Beatiful song. One of my favourites. Freddie's voice shines in this particular one.
It is also further evidence of the great ability of Queen (and particularly Freddie) when composing various genres. Queen was a
truly eclectic band, and that's what makes them such a big band.

It is an amazing track, thats what makes queen so special that the 4 song writers all right varied styles
I love it.
It's a great number. While the most noticeable things are of course the piano and the vocal/melody/lyrics, I think the drum-part's amazing, very simple but very hard to get right.
'My Melancholy Blues' changed my life.
I like it very much and the way its used on the wembley disc 2 whilst showing the band backstage
