And you know, when I finally put Hot Space through my blender it ended up tasting like tomato soup. Eerie.

Yeah...just like that! :) You've made me feel nostalgic for good stories. I can't find any good fiction and I don't know where to look, so I've given up.

I've just remembered a personal story about The Miracle cover. In the late eighties I was the manager of a print/copy shop in Shepherd's Bush, London. We had one of the first good quality colour photocopiers (a Canon if you're interested). I happened to notice one of the jobs waiting to be done. 4 face pictures of each Queen band member. Over the next few weeks a guy came in with variations of the pics - basically different stages that ended up as the "joined heads" on The Miracle cover (and the eyes on the back). I (naughtily) kept a private copy of the pictures as they progressed. I had, at this time, lost interest in the band so when I briefly went to Liverpool to work about 3 years later I gave the pics to my old mate Jim Jenkins. The original photos, before any re-touching, were very rough. The pics were unforgiving and they had pretty bad complextions. Freddie in particular looked like he'd been right "on one" the night before. I've just checked the cover credits and it states that the "Paintbox" designer was Richard Baker, so I guess that was the guy that popped into the shop.

Favourite eh? Well I perfer the art work covers over the photos to be honest altough I love the Queen || cover as its so iconic....actually I also love the SHA cover because they all look so fineeeeeeeee! My favourites are ANATO or ADATR( I can't choose between the two!) I have the larger printed versions :) & I think the detail & colours in the art work is fabulous and it represents each member & the pheniox is amazing. It just sums up Queen to me. & of corse NOTW is another favourite its just t so sureal I find myself staring at it lovingly sometimes yet still not having a clue what it actaully means/about. I also have a soft spot for the 'hotspace' artwork x'D
So to overall I don't have that many favourite album covers*
*is lieing*

My favourite album cover is the A Kind of Magic album cover. I like the blending of the colours. It took me a while to "see" the Freddie figure. I always laugh at the part when the cartoon girls fall off when Freddie moved away in the video of the song.

I really like Queen II, The Miracle and Innuendo. Queen I and Hot Space looks nice too. IMO the worst are The Game and A Kind Of Magic.

Sorry. "Right On One" is a British phrase that means getting really wasted on alcohol or drugs.
