I say Vancouver.  As a general rule, whenever anything awesome happens odds are good that it happened in Canada. It's the water. ;)

Finally a superb version of this song. Well done Greg.

Been that busy recently I've being listening to nothing but Hits from time to time on Iphone. Great to have a day off and find this gem... gives me something to listen to while downloading the BBC sessions that have been kindly supplied by John.

I love the USA 80s bootlegs. Freddie was in great great voice. I wonder if he tried the high notes in Bo Rap during this gig??? I'd guess he never, but if he managed to keep his voice in the same shape throughout the gig... who knows?

I just received an email from the taper--Here's his response:

"I went through the whole tape with my friend, and we were able to "salvage" the following songs:

* WWYR (fast)
* Let Me Entertain You
* Rock It
* Crazy little thing called love
* Bohemian Rhapsody
* We Are The Champions

the songs are either mostly complete (with some cuts), or are 100% complete. the quality is kinda bad (muffled/distorted) but I think it's listenable. the rest of the tape was so degraded, that it was just constant humming/noise, etc."

This is GREAT NEWS! 6 songs!

Excellent news !  But if the tape can play all the way through, why not just transfer the whole thing anyway?  Something is always better than nothing.

Yeah, that' s a great idea. I hope that'll happen. Also, sometimes we as die-hards consider a recording to be listenable when a non-diehard will consider it pure shite:-)

Ya exactly. They could have meant you can hear the song under all the hiss and distortion. The rest of the tape might turn out something like those horrible quality recordings from 1974 of the SHA tour
