who throws anything out?? :)

the 2001 edition looks really good. too bad the audio SUCKS though.

I prefer the blu ray though - the best parts look incredible. but I agree that some of the darker parts are not very good - the colours seem unnatural.
but the audio is amazing. probably the best in my entire 500 + concert films collection

rock on swearing, its not a bad thing, its an extention on the english language ;) (i just made that up, sorry)

Ok, so the clarity, definition, and sound were amazing on QRM, but the colors were pretty much destroyed.  The original color was completely changed to... something else.  They could have gotten amazing clarity and definition out of it and still kept the colors as they should be in tact for release.

I must admit I have never seen the blu-ray version (I don't own a blu-ray player and I don't plan to buy it in the near future)

if you're talking dvd vs dvd, the distinction between the 2001 edt and QRM is less aparent. (and still, some of the dark bits on QRM are too dark)

blu ray though is alot better. the close ups of freddie in the opening song are almost frightening

I didn't see any problems with darkness in QRM but obviously there were problems with it in the 2001 release.  Im not talking about clarity, im talking about the color of the "remastered" QRM version.
