i would relish any new queen album, as i think brian + roger are still relevent, and why not use the name queen, as brian + roger were queen long before john, or even freddie for that matter, maybe not in name but definetely had there not been smile, there would not have been queen, so bring on an album, tour, one off gigs or whatever they feel comfortable with. queen supported me through those difficult teenage years, so maybe it's time for me to payback that support

Brian and Roger are not relevant, of course they have influenced certain musicians but in relation to popular music at the moment, they are outside the loop.  Maybe they should work with Rick Rubin to try and rejuvinate their sound, it has worked for a lot of other musicians.
Don't shun it!

Brian and Roger should toddle off in to the distance and concentrate on their own individual careers."

There is no way that Brian & Roger will produce another great album, but it's not because they are no longer talented. They are still wonderful musicians, and if Robert Plant can continue to produce brilliant work, I don't see any reason why Brian & Roger can't. If they set their minds to it, which is the biggest problem with them in recent years. I'm not convinced that they have the drive to produce challenging and high quality work anymore.

What I would really love is if Brian % Roger sang the vocals themselves, such as with No-One But You (which showed IMO that Brian % Roger didn't need Freddie to produce wonderful work), but it's unlikely to ever happen.

I get the feeling that most Queenies who want Bri & Rog to keep the Queen name out of their future endeavors are those who have seen Queen in the good ol' days with Freddie & John. An unintended consequence of America's Queen revival via Wayne's World is that today's generation, of which I'm a part, never got to see original Queen in concert. Since we never got to enjoy a real, live Queen concert, we long for the chance to see whatever remnant of Queen that we can before they give up or die.

Yes, I realize that, if Bri & Rog went solo or did work together as May + Taylor, we could still see them, but it's not quite the same saying "I saw Queen in concert" as opposed to "I saw 2 guys who were in Queen in concert."

I'm not crapping on those who believe the Queen name should be retired because you all have a valid point. Having seen the original glory, you know that anything else is just lesser and feels insulting. However, those Queenies who want to see more Queen want to experience that lesser experience, knowing full well that it'll never be the same, because that's all we have. Imagine if you had the best chocolate in the world, but could only get a small amount of it; it would be great, but every time you ate chocolate after that, that lesser chocolate would taste like crap compared to the best chocolate ever. If you had never eaten the greatest chocolate, the lesser would taste fine, even if someone had told you there was better chocolate out there. (BTW, I experienced this with Cadbury chocolate after I visited England; now all the American chocolate I eat pales in comparison.)
