I'd also thought it was Esperanto until a visitor of my website proved my wrong.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

If you want to hear some samples..... Some of them would have made great Queen songs!

I downloaded his previous albums on rapidshare a time ago. Any idea where I can download the artwork? Can anybody upload, please?

the cover is easy to find if you do a google search.
Some people called it "tacky"

Damn. That looks suspiciously like Michael Jackson's upcoming first posthumous album "Michael".

*goodco* wrote: As with MITS, I have the North Korean version, with different track listing.  Not sure if Motown Blues is the Errol Brown or the Roger/Brian mix (or a fan remix for that matter).  How does one tell the difference?

I enjoy the little discussed 'Jump Blues' album.  It's pretty jazzy.

Also, what is THE official Man In The Shadows tracklisting?  I miss the old qzone where I could easily find posters and topics.

Thanks in advance

The North Korean version? Nice!
I'd heard Kim Jong Ill had confiscated the entire pressings and had then replaced John's discs with his own solo album, comprising of stirring nationalistic poetry readings read to the music of popular show-tunes.

I don't really like John's version of Typical Christmas,  the Barry Mitchell original is far superior.
Don't shun it!

Not true, comrade.  The fact that I believe Kim Ill made 11 holes-in-one his first time golfing has nothing to do with brainwashing, er, listening to the disk.  Then again, after my traditional Halloween viewing of 'Young Frankenstein', I realized one of the MITS tracks bore a striking resemblence to 'Puttin' On The Ritz.'

On 'Another Me' John recorded his bass backwards. Unbelievable how that man could make a reversed bass sound so groovy!

I think it's time to put that urban legend to rest: the liner notes do say that he recorded his bass backwards, but it didn't mean that he played the track in reverse; it meant he recorded it while wearing moon boots. I know the booklet shows him playing it as a leftie too, but it was simply a mirror effect on the photo. Rumour has it that he almost got sick at the floor of Metropolis Studios. Gary Langan was not amused.

whole thing seeps with the whiff of cop-out to me....two omissions from the track-listing are blaringly obvious:
on one side of the coin - he bottled it
on the flip side - you could say he maintained his integrity....but i for one think cop out...

the album goes a long way short of what he could've produced after 15 years of almost nothing...

why did he leave off the tracks him and Freddie were working on at the time of Freddie's death....I am sure
that most queen fans would love to hear the sheer funk of "she blows me away"
and his own tribute to Freddie "phoenix sons" is sublime......sorry, but this album comes up short for those two major omissions.
