never heard of that magazine.... Says it all really? Axl would never top any poll as "The greatest" in any poll with any respectabilty. He's actually a grade A Cock

I love Dream Theater, but even James LaBrie would disagree with being above Steven Tyler, Geddy Lee, Iggy Pop, and Diana Ross.

Agreed,  but why do rock fans think Geddy lee had a great voice?....I love rush, and have every album, but geddy isn't a great singer.  Even worse than axle rose.  Axle being #1 is a joke all together.

Yeah, Geddy is a good singer but certainly not amongst the best.  Rush are best known for their ability to transfer their technical ability into great songs.  If anything, the voice in Rush is the only weak spot.  But it fits their sound perfectly.

Axyl Rose barely sings...he just screams. Plus, I doubt Axyl could sing all of those genres that Freddie sang. His voice basically only works for one or two things, when Freddie's basically worked for everything.
It's late, but it's time to set me free It's late, yes I know but there's no way it has to be Too late, so let the fire take our bodies this night So late, so let the waters take our guilt in the t

I bet Freddie was #1 on that list, but Axl changed it.
I always knew I was a star And now, the rest of the world seems to agree with me-Freddie Mercury

Freddie is the best, what ever magazines may say ;)
No other singer I know of can/could sing so many styles perfectly, have such huge audience in the palm of his hand and being able to sing live with as good sound as studio! The tones Freddie could take without effort, and the changes he made during songs... I get goose bumps every time! In the lap of the Gods in live version, OMG! I'm a girl, and I can't sing it- yet! Or his amazing performance with The show must go on. He was dying when recording it, and nailed it 100% and other singers can't even do it half as good!

We will never know, but I do have this feeling that Freddie would maybe have been singing opera today if still alive.

Most other "rock singers" are just... Well... Rock singers... They can't sing other types of songs as good.

I'd like to hear Axl sing Golden boy or something :O
I believe in music, Queen is my religion and Freddie Mercury is my God!

Eddie Vedder is missing - again! I wonder why he is never appreciated - a great personality, great voice, fronting one of the biggest bands on the planet.
I do not want any google ads here.

Freddie will always be number one in my eyes and this poll by some obscure music blog thing that i have not heard of is not worth anything
