Hi Kurgan - I've never claimed to be an expert, and, as I say, I see your point. We can go round in circles all day over the topic, but my opinion is it's fake and I'm confident with that assessment. I've been fooled (once) in the past by a set of signatures and I was determined it would never happen again - that was 10 years back, which gives a lot of research time. It was 8 years before I bought my next set. It's hard to explain, but after seeing a good eight year's worth of signatures, you kinda just get a feel for what's right and what's not.
A huge collection doesn't make an expert... I've seen thousands of
autographs by Queen over the years, imo this one is genuine, but I
don't want to drive this discussion to the max. Why don't you post some
genuine ones to prove the magic cover as fake??? I've seen Roger and
Brian in person sign weird autographs you would never give a pence for
- though they are the real deal. I've got a lot of 30 genuine Queen
autographs in my collection, for example a signed pair of Brian's black
leather trousers given to a charity auction with a certificate from
Sally Frost (former P.A. to Brian) that is genuine though it's not a
typical one. Other example: I've been to Montreux yesterday, Norbert is
selling a white hat signed by Freddie/Brian/Roger in is shop. I know he
sold some poor fakes in the past but this one is most likely real as
there's a picture of the owner wearing the hat and standing next to
Freddie. Seeing it alone on ebay for example I would have declared it
fake. If you haven't been there you can never be sure. By the way:
Freddies flat is beeing refurbished at the moment, unfortunately I
haven't seen the craftsmen to ask and have a look in it :-) And for all
who missed the Brasseria Bavaria - it has been re-built on the same
corner (but without the old spirit)...

2 - Why don't you post some genuine ones to prove the magic cover as fake???
1 - I've never, anywhere, said that it does. The original poster said I knew "jack shit" about Queen. I merely pointed out I have been collecting for around 20 years, and must have picked some knowledge up along the way.
2- I have actually sold all my autographs (apart from a Paul Rodgers one lol) and so have none to post. Even if I did, it wouldn't prove anything. I've always said that the Brian signature on the magic LP in question looks good, it's the others that don't seem right.
Anyway, note the original poster has never been back! If I knew the item I was selling was the genuine article, I'd still be advertising - regardless of a few negative comments.
don't let any of these fools who maybe have bought a couple autographs in their lives tell you that this autograph is fake, it is 100% authentic and hand signed by the said members of queen. I hate when people who know very little about autographs try and prove people's autographs to be fake, losing them money. I have over $150,000 worth of autographs and have some of the rarest autographs in the world, and I have looked at 100,000's of autographs. trust me this one is real, don't listen to any of the fools on here/.
Who the fuck are you? Your first post here is to call me a fool, some three months after the argument has ended and well after the original poster (the guy trying to sell it) has disappeared.

just found this joke on ebay... a certificate saying signed album from "The Queen and signed by "all four", seems these fakers have no idea what they're doing...
Just the other week, I reported a "signed" Queen SHA LP to ebay, telling them I found it suspicious - they ignored this, and the item sold. By the freakiest of coincidences, the very same LP ended up in MY hands yesterday, because it was actually a regular at my shop who bought it and wanted to sell it on!!!! I told him my story, and told him I was fairly confident that it was fake....BUT, it had a COA, with a link to the vendor's website. I told him that meant nothing, and to go back home and check the COA out and, lo and behold, the website did NOT exist and, after just one e-mail to the vendor with a threat about paypal, they have agreed to refund him. Funny that, because if I knew my item was genuine, I'd allow paypal in.....
And I know "jack-shit", apparently.
Just a little background on where the signed Magic LP came from; in 1986, Roger and Brian were guests on the U.S. syndicated radio program "Rockline with Bob Coburn." As was customary on the show, callers who made it on the air were told they would receive autographed copies of the guest's latest album.
I called in that evening and was one of the people who recieved an autographed copy of the LP. It was sent in a plain, white cardboard mailer with the show's logo on it. I've use the autograph authenticator on the Queen Online site, and believe mine to be genuine. If not, it was at least portrayed as genuine by Brian and Roger the evening of the program.
I have it in storage, but will try to find it and take a picture. The signatures are in silver metallic liquid ink and very large.
That's not to say that someone doesn't know these facts and hasn't fabricated a fake. Mine is real as far as I know, but I'd have to pay to have it authenticated.

No, it should read "here's another fake...., your old pal, JT". I think you know what I mean.
Oh, and by the way JT, your wee slip up (i.e signing in as seasofrhye to make a comment that was supposed to be made by 2011 records) proves that you are the same person. After all it was 2011records who was selling the item, not "you". And, just incase you may have the beginnings of cenile dementia, you've already told me months ago (as 2011records, btw) that the record had sold and that you were "still here". Called me "prickboy" then too.
Anyway JT, doesn't matter who you sign in as....you're still a con-merchant. Pretty sad that you set up an account to sell something and then use another to make it look as though said item has "provenance".
Busted, JT. Oh, and your pics stink as well, amateur.
Isn't it about time for Sir GH to show up on this thread and criticize Thistleboy for questioning the legitimacy and condition of something for sale?

Hi I just read the comment on the signed AKOF with lots of interst as the cover sleeve discussed in this thread is part of my personal collection now. I'm very experienced in signed Queen stuff as I'm collecting Queen autographs for about 15 years now - and I'm quite sure this is genuine otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. I bought it from an ebay
seller from Hamburg I know for years. He seems to have really good authentic sources as he has never sold any Queen fake autograph so far i.m.o. (which is quite unusual on ebay these days :-) I would be very very pleased if you could send me some pics of your signed copy to compare. Please get in touch - there's some trouble I can't use the p.m. function at the moment. If you or any other one has further information of the origin of this cover sleeve please let me know.
b.t.w. I've sent pictures of this cover sleeve to Martin from queenconcerts.com/queenautographs.com (which is no longer available) for authentification and he agreed with me it is genuine...
and thanks to thitleboy for your unrefind comments - to be honest, no-one needs it in this thread

May I ask what the problem is? Any comments I may have made which can be described as "unrefined" were never directed at you, and were in self-defence, having been called a "fool" by a one-post contributor who clearly had nothing better to do but pipe in. Even after being called "prickboy" and being told that I know "jack-shit", I still stood up for myself with grace. If I offended you, sorry to hear about that, but this is a discussion forum after all, where my opinion is as good as yours, Kurgan's or the OP's in the context of this discussion. Having been nothing but polite to you, I don't feel it's your place to tell me my comments were not needed, especially when they were no concern of yours. And since you have posted *after* these "unrefined" comments, can you please explain why it's taken you months to advise me of your feelings? And why is it just me who's singled out? Note that OP has called me names and has taunted. Please don't feel that I am being hostile with you, but I felt I had to tell you that your closing comment was a little unfair - and, as it also comes across somewhat sarcastic ("thanks for your unrefined comments"), you have actually achieved for yourself the very status you tried to tie to me. Very graceful indeed. I just don't get why you'd say that?
If you're gonna come on Queenzone to schlepp your Queen item, you should at least let people question it's legitimacy.
There is no moderation on this site, yet if something goes wrong with the transaction, Queenzone will get blamed somehow.
"Martin" is NOT a reliable source for authentication... he is giving his opinion based on seeing many comparable signatures. He is not a certified authenticator and therefore NOT liable if it turns out his opinion was wrong.
I would recommend people realize that 80% of autographs purchased on line are fake. So if you're comfortable with a 1 in 5 chance, then go ahead... buy this pinhead's LP.
