Is this something that people have been waiting for? I can appreciate the fact that it is now being heard but I don't understand why it is being so praised. To me it does sound like a bit of a noise. Bri's playing is typically samey, very samey.
I'm not here to slate anything but if someone could explain to me what exactly I am supposed to get excited about.I don't get it. I've loved Queen since '74 and have spent years studying them (like lots here) and have loved the multi-tracks and the odd demo here and there but this doesn't compare IMO. Is there even a song in there, a hook or anything? Perhaps I have no musical bent?
Comments like 'have a child with me'.....etc..... Is this piece THAT much of a dream come true? Someone explain it to me.

This is what it sounds like to me:
You just have to give me that first guitar, after this you have to give me a guitar entry yeah?
Ooooh. Lovely Guitar. Out.
When something so dear and dear to life, (So far alight) Explodes, (Falls down beside) You feel your soul, (Your cries kill your hurt) Is set on fire. (It’s so unclear)
When the moon has lost it’s glow, Where the sun begins to loom, Look out. Where must oooh.
Bits with Fred speaking are in italics. (EDIT: Italics didn't seem to work)

Gimme the first guitar, after this gimme the guitar entry yes? hmmmmha ”Lovely”
GUITAR!
Something so deep and dear in life dear So Dire to life (2nd Freddie) absconds, descried, your cries can be heard It’s cold inside (Something) hear the song? (2nd Freddie) Souls on fire (2nd Freddie) It’s cold and clear-ah
Something.. nono Dee deed a da daaa De DE DEE DADADAR DE DAR DAR DAA DOH
When the moon has lost it’s glow (But said with a "c" CLow) Where the sun begins to loom (Some quiet mumbling in the back ground)
When the STAr shmm (starts, hesitates and trails off) Ohhhh
The rest is music.
i'm 100% sure of the second line: descry = to discern or make out; catch sight of abscond = To Avoid and hide oneself
But the rest is pretty hit and miss
Edit, Damn GinjaNinja beat me to it.

A Plea To GregSynth:
Please do not waste time analyzing whether Freddie hit certain notes at certain points.
JUST BE HAPPY THAT YOU GET TO HEAR THE SONG!

Sorry! :S The "your cries can be heard" definitely sounds right rather than "your cries kill your hurt", and also makes sense. :P
Not sure about that absconds, descries stuff though...
It's quite difficult to make out when both voices are going at once.
Edit: Oh and that "Where the st..." bit also sounds right to me.

Dave, this is fantastic, thanks a lot!!!!!
The first part to me does not sound like two different demos mixed together, but more like the band trying to develop the song while playing to a first demo (which maybe the one we already know), with the tapes running. Freddie trying a few harmonies over the pre-recorded vocals, and Brian adding some additional figures to the basic lick we all know and love.
Also they seem to be trying to find a chord progression for a potential chorus, and Rog changes the tempo at 3.33, perhaps for the same purpose, to give it a change for a proper refrain.
The second part seems to me like Brian saying “put that ‘Face it alone’ thing on, I’m gonna try something”. Great work in progress, which of course sometimes seems a bit clueless, but having played bass in a band, I love the process of trying to create a song and can stand guitarists and their self-indulgence… :-) and we’re listening to one of the greatest ever of course.
All in all, this is basically a WONDERFUL and irresistible melody, just lacking a finished chorus and coda. The great tension created in the basic verse always makes me wonder why on earth they did not try to finish it during the last sessions. I have said this before, MIH could’ve been so much better (only IMHO) without the rehash of MLHBS or the “Cover versions” of Freddie’s solo stuff.
Thanks again Dave!

thanks alot!
sounds nice, but not that special. I see (hear) no reason why this was never shared with other collectors or the Queen fan world, because ie Self Made Man sounds a lot more interesting than this.
am also wondering why this recording is in mono :)

You're welcome to all the thank yous everybody!
I've posted on the info box on the video what I think the lyrics are when I uploaded it, could be wrong at some parts, of course.
Rael, as for making a bootleg anthology, thats basically what my YouTube channel has turned into, I guess!
silver_salmon, thanks for the treats, but they kind of taste like computer screen :)
Faroukqch, if you are an attractive female between the ages of 18-26-ish call me :P
galashiels, I'm anything but normal haha, but I am 6 ft tall, if that helps
Cheers

Thanks again Dave! It just has that feel that it could be something epic, doesn't it?
