Sir GH wrote: "Amazing share?" Where are the screenshots? How does this compare to previous versions? I'll bet my left nut that this isn't as good as the Pittrek version. Snow crops his videos to widescreen... how can this possibly be better, or even worth watching?

Hi Bob, I tried downloading Peter's version, but my PC kept telling me the files couldn't be opened when I tried them (well, NERO and PowerDVD wouldn't recognise them, and a few others I tried downloading) so I couldn't say.
@Thistleboy:
You can open with the VLC media player software (it is free).

I don`t want have problems with nobody here,but dear russian boy... Queen are a UK band...Generally in the Uk the people speak english... probably the Person that created the page also speak english...
why will they change the lenguage to russian?? furthermore here there aren`t only russian and english spokens... For example i speak spanish... I think if i start to speak in spanish with you,probably you will not understand me a damn.
I think nobody that not speak english as Mother lengage can speak always a perfect english. I don`t speak a perfect english... but if you don`t speak english very well (not is a requieriment to share things or participate here) try not use insults or "regionalism" cause this doesn`t fit...
Anyway i think you`re only a kid or a young boy,so try if you don`t speak english very well not insult to the people and even less to useful people(as for example SirGH) I belive that if you don`t use bad forms to comunicate with us nobody will to say nothing about your english!
Cheers!

Would you like some caviar along with that sense of entitlement?
I'll upload something as soon as you learn how to speak English and understand terms like "search function"..

You sound just like those muslims who go to western countries saying "Change for me, now" .. instead of .. "How can I adopt to be a contributing member of society?"
Needless to say, this is starting to get silly.

This community has taken many steps to be conscious of quality preservation, and as a result the last couple years here have been quite great overall. But when people who don't speak English start chiming in with crap shares and can't even engage in rational discourse, something needs to be done about it. This is a huge step backward for this place..
GOFLB, you need to be a bit more gracious about any criticism that comes your way, instead of resorting to insults and name-calling. You have a point when you say "if you don't like it, don't download it" but others do have a fair argument when they say it's a waste of time if there's better out there. And the only way you'll ever know if there's better out there is to do as Bob suggests, and use that "search" function. Not everyone here is trying to diss you, in fact they are only offering you helpful advice, and you turn on them in an instant. It's no wonder you get the flack you rightly deserve afterwards.
I happen to like the SP stuff (well not all), because at the time it provided me witth the material I was looking for, at a reasonable price, and usually in better quality than I had at the time. But times have changed, and I've discovered QZ. Unless you're really a dim-wit, you'll see you can get much better here. If you say you only uploaded because of the extras, then why didn't you just upload the extras?
@tcc - I tried using VLC, it wouldn't have it at all!

@Thistleboy
I have been watching the dvds downloaded from here with VLC media player without any problems at all. I must qualify that I watched the DVDs from the PC, the files were left as they were downloaded and not burned into a DVD.
The reason I persist is that you should watch Pittrek's version. It is very good.

Can I just point out, as someone who was actually at Earls Court on 6th June 1977, that the Snow cover is inaccurate.
Firstly Freddie did not wear a mask and secondly the pic on the back cover is not EC. The lights hanging at the back of the stage were hanging from the Crown rig which was horizontal. The pic on the back cover shows the lights hanging from a curved arc. This was the rig for the other dates on the tour where there was no crown.

OK, downloaded Pittrek's version for a second time and it now plays for me. Having now viewed both versions, back to back, I have to say that both have plus points as well as negative ones. For me, it's the SP one that edges it (sorry Peter). The Pittrek version has a sharper picture quality, but the video is very jittery, the colours aren't so good and the sound seems distorted. SP's version may not be as great a picture quality, but is still decent. It plays more smoothly (not jittery at all), the colours are more vibrant and the sound is better. Of course, that is my opinion - so I asked the mrs to watch a few snippets of each, and she made the same observations, as has a mate who also downloaded it. Peter's menu is better (although not so keen on the fonts used), but for me, the mrs and my mate, the SP version is easier to watch. Also, it hasn't been cropped to Widescreen, contrary to popular opinion here on QZ.
So it works out that the SP version is not so much a waste of bandwith after all.

Yeah, I like it better than the Pittrek version (although this is nothing against Peter as I have enjoyed all his other shares).

Do you watch the Sniviles version? i think the video of the Pittrek version comes of these version. To me the video is the same (sniville/pittrek) But i liked the Pittrek audio a little more. Frankly i never watch the Snow version,so i can`t say nothing in concrete. But i think if All these gig and all these bonus are compresed into one dvd the quality must drops.

Hi, the little story behind the video on my version.
There was a dutch (?) site offering a bootleg VHS tape, called "Keep Dancing". This was the best available VHS source. Somebody transferred the tape to DVD, which was shared online. This DVD had a lot of small problems, e.g. there was a repeating segment during the rock'n'roll medley, the gaps between songs were cut, etc.
A guy called "Snivvle (Snivlle ?) " took this DVD version, ripped the video from it, and used a lot of video filters to clean the video up. But he kept all problems the original video had (e.g. the repeating segment during the rock'n'roll part).
The audio comes from a german (?) collector called "frank39", he shared here a great sounding FLAC recording of the Earls Court concert, probably taken from a different source, not from the Keep Dancing VHS.
I took the video from the Snivvle version, corrected all the misstakes (including the repeating segment) and I think I also added the "heads" to the opera section of Bohemian Rhapsody, and synchronised it with frank's audio source, and authored it as a 2DVD set

Your version must be at least the 8th one I've had, and out of them, I've only kept yours and the SP one! I really like the SP version, but the one you refer to "Keep Dancing" is one I used to have on a VCD from around 10 years ago. I remember all those cuts and repeating sections lol. Maybe it's just a problem with my download (my first attempt at yours wouldn't play at all) but the audio seems very distorted. There's definitely a lot of hiss, and what I'd call reverb.
