Everything Queen has done without Freddie has been mediocre. Even all that "save the fox" shit Brian likes to speak about. Sure it's cute that he wants to save the red fox, but why be so patronising about it? All this "save the planet" shit it just that, shit.

And why does he call his blog a soapbox? Sure it's a correct term, but why not call it a blog like everybody else? And what about the re-re-realeses which everybody is sick of? How much more can they manage to squeeze out of Freddie's talent?

Bands of that size were always like companies trying to make the big money. Whether it's the Beatles, The Stones or Queen and all the others. 
Making money is part of the game. And they always re-invested lots of money. Do you believe that all those big concerts and tours you glorify today were for free and didn't cost a penny???

Sure it's boring to see all those GH albums in various forms again and again. But they are made for new audiences and those collectors, who buy everything. So no one needs to buy this stuff again and again.
If no one buys, they stop doing this.

Queen is no longer there for 20 (!) years. So for all the original fans it's over since then, you finally have to accept this.
And you should acknowledge, that May and Taylor managed to keep the Queen music and memory alive compared to most other of their contempararies, who just play "oldie nights" and "shopping malls" these days with sometimes just one original member left, in some cases just the bass player....

Yeah I don't know who the hell is running Queen Productions but they seriously need to wake up and smell the coffee. So far, the bonus tracks for the re-releases are the best thing I've seen in a few years from them. I don't understand why it is so hard to give us what we want? Why do they insist on keeping so much good quality and rare footage to themselves? What good does that do?

@ splicksplack - I think that you don't agree with QP...

Problem with your idea, Soundfreak, is that you see QP as an "all or nothing" proposition.  Of course QP is a business, needs to make money etc.  However, everything that exists to make money (like a grocery store) exists to make money.  Grocery stores have loss leaders that are much cheaper than usual cost to get people interested in purchasing other products.  QP doesn't see that.  It's the same product all of the time at the same price.  No acknowledgement of long time customers.  Poor business model, and why a good number of fans don't give a shit about them anymore.  If you are saying they can't grow their fan base by releasing something other than recycled product at the same price with a new label I'll have to disagree with you.

I think I have a great idea for you.

Stick to your bootlegs (cut Brian's and Roger's songs of them) and Freddie's +John's
stuff and be happy!

It's been 20 years that Freddie has passed and there's nothing new for us to hear (or see).
Even not officially we already have everything this band could offer us. And I'm glad with it.
If you're not, just forget about this band and sell up your things on eBay - you'll make a lot of money,
that's for sure! I can't take the saint image that Freddie and John gained, one dying, the other
retiring. If was Freddie alive he would be the first one to run over the money. And John is doing
it without making any efforts. At least Brian and Roger wants to keep the name Queen alive.
And it's not a bad idea to bring new audiences along. That's the aim of new releases.
