The most recent case of David Richards "jumping out" with demos we never ever have heard of are the most "hard-to-beat-with" argument with that one that there's nothing new to hear. For each of the Queen albums (recording sessions) you must add ideas that never got completed, songs which were laid off because they didn't fit on the album and so on and so forth.
As to keeping Queen alive... hmm I cannot say things that Freddie would have done if he was still alive but I can hypothesize that yes he would try to earn but in a way... and I think way better than Brian & Roger & QPR. He always "cared for people" . He said it in the interviews with the whole band interviewed I don't know exactly - ca. 1984/85 - that people have their own mind and if they don't want their records, he will say goodbye. Generally, it is good that Brian & Roger try to keep Queen alive but the way in which they do it is, hmm ... greedy.
As to writing to Brian. Well, honestly do u think he would give a bloody damn ?! I wrote to him year ago , politely, without anger, generally what we-fans want on behalf of the Queenzone and guess what - did he reply, even said a word ? I even thanked him for his work, Queen music etc. and defended the archivist ( previous year he was being pretty good beaten up on Queenzon). No response. Not thank you or sth or even mail from his management that he has no time to read.
These days he is interested more in saving foxes, political stuff, astrophysics. Music is more like a hobby to him. Do you think that the 40th Anniversary releases which are letting some good opinions onto this community are really effect of 40th anniv. and nothing else ? Low sales of gigs with Paul, costs which they must have pay for renting stadiums , hardware, assistance, employees and MAYBE the word of Greg and Gary have blasted the doors to Brian's and Roger's mind that maybe if they will release sth that will got attention, it will change the way the wind blows ?
With their rererereleases Queen is going to be forgotten. There is necessity to present Freddie in his pride and glory to new generations. Which means demos, live gigs from 70's and 80's etc.
Amen.
The most important - Old fans are the most important, without them...think by yourself - how the building is going to stand without foundations ?

That's simply not true. They ain't forgotten, for a band that hasn't performed since the mid-80s they are still very popular and in very good memory. We have got a lot of live gigs on DVD from the 80s. Demos do not impress younger or new audiences. They are interesting for hard fans who want to study how songs came to life, but they are unfinished stuff. Or how some friend of mine once said to me when I showed him my collection of Beatles outtakes: You collect their garbage! Somehow I could not contradict......
Did the Freddie Mercury Box have any lasting effect? Do people ever mention how great his outtakes were?
Also I can only repeat it again and again, we got so many concerts and outtakes even available for free on this site....they even allow the exchange - unlike other famous bands. Try doing the same on an ABBA site and you will be surprised.....

We need to get a grip folks, looking at other big bands back catalouges most are worse than what we have.Pink Floyd,Genesis,Led Zep,The Who,Deep Purple and the like.A lot of these still just have the original CDS and very little remastering jobs or special editions availible. In Pink Floyds case 1994 was the last time that most of their catalouge was touched. At least we are going to be given the choice, stick with the orginals or have a shiny new remastered job!As for calling Roger a c---t i really dont think that belongs on this site !

Queenzone Hi dear friends, I rarely write about my discomfort floor with queen, but unfortunately I have to put that part of what we feel mistreated by Brian, Roger and John (indirectly involved) are doing to us.
And the truth is that members of Queen who are still alive, their fans are not important nor do they care if they do this or not like us.
I lei to one member who said that it seemed to him that Queen was making things better with these discs, and I tell her friend if you would like to buy 5 times the same album with different covers because they just bring a photo you or I or anyone you do not have there.
I do not spend money on more of the same as that seems like a mockery of all that is a serious fan or a fan concidero seriously.
I am a fan since I was 15, I am also a collector of Queen. I say this so I would not go to stupid as you like but do not buy something that I see things I think is a ridiculous because if you is not working and kept you do not mind the money but I if I care and enough for my money if it like everyone else in this forum
I for my part, these new discs to me in mp3 download because I do not think you give me money that Brian and Roger and they have plenty and all thanks to Freddie
sorry for my english I used translator

Hi
I've been a fan of Queen since about 7 years, and the truth if I'm very upset with the direction taken by the band ... either with the remastering of the same old thing.(Greatest Hits, Greatest Hits remaster, Greatest Hits Reloaded Version, etc)
But what makes me angry most is the unwillingness to launch some "crazy tour", they know that the fans would love to have new audio recordings of these concerts, or better yet, the concert at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1979 full And they do not, apologizing to the child pretext of "not having a stereo audio. "
I think all the users here would pay enough for these recordings and unreleased, but we clearly see that QueenProduction stayed behind with the new trends, and even thinksthat the bulk of the music that sells is the CD, when all the world now download music via the internet (Torrent, iTunes, or directly from the author's website as Radiohead)

I keep saying it and I really don't know why.
The time has passed whereby ANYONE should have any quarrel with QPL.
Everytime something is released, you know for a solid fact that there will be major issues with it - be it sound quality, be it content, be it re-re-re-issueing. You know that this is what will be released. There are NEVER any surprises and there is and never will be any concession made to those of us who have stayed with the band, loyally, for 30+ years and previously purchased what has been on offer. I can't wait to read the first official comment that the bonus tracks on "Queen" should put an end to all the bootleggers...... :-)
Nothing will ever change.
Its too much like hard work for those involved; namely Brian, Roger, John and that fuckwit Jim Beach. They are more than content in sitting back and watching their mortgages being paid monthly and living the lifestyles to which we have allowed them to be accustomed. Good for them, yep - they made the music.
Sad fact is that no one is truested to make decisions on their behlf as to what should or should not be released. They're control freaks who trust no one and are scared that they might actually have to do some promotional work outside of the normal Freddie-aggrandising interviews to promote anything of worth.
Simply don't buy anything. Eveually, the river will run dry and they'll have to put something out that people DO want to buy.
In the mean time, download from Queenzone everything you can - get all of those unreleased studio demos and convention recordings, then, simply, create your own deluxe editions with accompanying booklets and essays you have created yourself - you'll find it to be fun and MUCH more rewarding than anything QPL could ever offer you.

Personally I am boycotting anything they'll release this year. I am also selling my collection, I will keep only a very small number of specially selected Queen-related items. I'm interested only in their live stuff and pre-Queen recordings, and there is absolutely no chance that QPL will give me something from it

When I saw the "bonus tracks" of the reissues I wanted to write in too, but the Deep Cuts is actually not that bad.
The press release even says, "It’s a chance for the casual listener to hear some of the very best of Queen". Don't worry! It's not meant for the avid Queen listener. It will introduce people to different stuff than what they've heard a million times already. Even though if I were a casual listener right now and I really wanted lesser known tracks I would just buy the freakin' albums!

==================== Actually Deep Shit is more the less a Greatest Hits album with another name and tracklist.

Well said to to the original poster. These re-issues are to carry the band and Mr. Beach well into their retirements, hopefully nobody buys this crap and there so called bonus tracks, give me a fucking break, reminds me of the shit remixes that were tacked onto the cd's by hollywood records back in 92/93.
They just don't give a fuck about there hard core fans. Even Springsteen fans got The Promise. We are sick of hearing Queen's promises. The B-Side Collection was supposed to be released at the same time as Queen Rocks (correct me if iim wrong), but it got shelved.
Fair play to the likes of Dave Fuller for keeping all the unreleased stuff on Youtube. He shd be give the Archivists job and not that other fucking wanker.

So far we've had Deep C#@ts and Deep Shit as alternative names. My contribution is "Deep Pockets". Thank you. I'm here all week. Have you tried the all-you-can-eat buffet yet?
