It's not volume per se... it's compression. They're saturating the sound by removing the range of volume. We can only wonder how good the actual master tapes sound...

If you think this is great, just wait until the remaster is posted. Without the compression it will blow your mind..
Besides that it's of course wonderful that Tarantura release these great recordings, but it's really unbelievable that bootleg labels can ''destroy'' such great recordings..
Why not leave it as it is?? Maybe some small changes to make it sound a bit better, but a result with distortion is really strange.
So the compression can be altered, but the distortion can't be fixed, right ??
