The compression can basically be masked with EQ - but it still won't sound as good as the unaltered original.  And yes, distortion likely cannot be fixed.

Oh, I was lacking time to come up here on a regular basis, and I was about to share this one with you... But BootLuca was faster ! An excellent one here ! And yes, sad that Tarantura comes with so much saturation... But at least this source is now available !

Ah !!! TOO long a time indeed... Unfortunately, I have less free time nowadays, that's why I somewhat disappeared... I can't even visit Queenzone as regularly as I did, and for some six months now, I lost track of everything happennig here. But I'm always there if needed, just ring the bell !

Ok, so  it's taken 500 years, but I promise I'm working on it.  Each one of these Tarantura things is a mammoth task - the crowd at the end of every track has to be manually matched to the beginning of the next and then the volume slowly cheated back up to make the music sound more natural (and louder than the crowd)  Etc, etc, etc.  Listen to the transitions between the tracks on any of the recent Tarantura stuff and you'll hopefully hear what I mean.

So apologies for the delay after I promised it, but it will arrive in the not too distant future.

And what Sir GH wrote earlier in this thread re compression and distortion is correct:  compression can be....... eased.....with judicious EQing, but distortion is printed and there's no getting rid of it,
