It's a very interesting interview
Will the issuing of the bonus material be the start of the Anthology projects seeing the light of day?
I guess so…

Re-masters, exhibitions, films, a lot of activity this year, the only thing that is missing is some sort of live element….are you keen?
Live element, yes I’m keen, watch this space….

Do you see any further studio work as Queen in one form or another, either reworking old tracks with Freddie's voice like you did with Made In Heaven or with new material?
I would like to do some more new Queen material with Brian.

That's good, but this did appear in a Flemish magazine. http://knackfocus.rnews.be/nl/entertainment/muziek/queen/roger-taylor-f-ck-off-darling/article-1194964927801.htm Check out this article (with interview) in Dutch about 40 years of Queen. It's not fake. As much as I would love it to be false, they are working on the awful Jackson tracks. Or he's lying.
============================

Or he's mis-quoted or a writer of the article got creative and made some things up. The press is far from perfect and not above acts of journalistic tomfoolery.

They'd better release Rainbow 1974.

Another roger Interview that tells us nothing....Great questions were asked, but the answer's were horrible.

My first thoughts are "Great! Any new music with Freddie's vocals would be more than welcome!" However I don't really like State of Shock as a song. It's pretty naff. And TMBMTLTT is great the way it is. I'm open to them rocking it up a bit but I'm worried that if it's for a Micheal Jackson duets album then it'll lean towards showcasing Micheal rather than being a duet or leaning towards Freddie. In short I'd rather it sounded more like Freddie's music than Micheal's which | can take or leave. Can't stand some of that shamone shite.

FYI: "VICTORY" was recorded IN FULL with the entire Queen Band...

this is great news since that track has not seen the light of day.

AND i think someone in the MJ camp released the other two demos during the hub bub/bruhaha about the soon to be released FREDDIE MERCURY BOXED SET. (possibly to avoid legal b.s.)

at least, that's where I got my copies from...

Any ideas concerning the origins of those leaked tracks?

(PS: for the naysayers... a big STFU... MJ WAS a great creative force... it's only when he started chasing that 2000' era pop that things went wrong [musically])

I don't think we'll get State of Shock, at least I hope we wont since that's the worst of the two songs we've heard. The two voices don't match at all.

Hmm.. i always thought that version was FAR SUPERIOR to the Mick Jagger version... it had spontaneity and presence, whereas the Mick Jagger thing sounded as trite and boring as Celine Dion mixed with ........ David Hasslehoff..

I have a copy of Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson singing 'There Must Be More to Life Than This' and to be honest with you - it sucks.  I'm not a Michael Jackson fan.  Notwithstanding that fact, Michael Jackson cannot sing Freddie's songs - at least this song.  He sounds off key, weak, awful.

Michael Jackson sounds like a girl singing Karaoke.  You can Youtube it... here's the link:

Substandard 'feed the world' nonsense.  Some things deserve to stay dead and buried.

We all heard that one,  but maybe there's a better version we don't know about.  I like the song,  but not with Mr. jackson on it.

Demos aren't supposed to sound good - they're musical equivilents of rough drafts and thumbnail sketches. They're for working out lyrics, developing melodies, finding comfortable phrasing. Few singers are going to give full on, beautifully and smoothly delivered vocals for something they know will eventually get tossed out and replaced with a polished final vocal.
Blow it out your ass.

Was it a rumor or fact that supposedly Michael Jackson got mad at Freddie for doing coke at his home and didn't want to continue working with him?  First of all how would he know unless he had a camera watching him, I'm sure he wouldn't have done it out in the open and I really don't buy that story anyhow.
