I was watching Queen Rock Montreal with audio commentary of Brian and Roger.
Before Keep yourself alive starts, they play a small piece that according to Brian and Roger was at sometime recorded in the studio as a track called  Sexshow. You can also hear Freddie say Sexshow right before KYA starts. Does a recording of this song exist somewhere?
I think I'll be Clint Eastwood Jimi Hendrix he was good Let's try William the Conqueror Now who else do I like?

Yes, it probably still exists in the vault, dating from the same sessions that gave us "Feel Like," "Under Pressure," "Cool Cat" and "Soul Brother." It's one of those tracks that gets discussed on these threads covering unreleased stuff and sadly, we don't know much more about it than what Brian and Roger talk about on that commentary. However, what we do know and have heard of the song is more substantial than some reported outtakes, where all we get is a song title ("Friends In Pain," for example, which I'm not entirely convinced ever existed) or claims that an existing song dates from an earlier session ("Heaven For Everyone" being from the Magic sessions).

It would have been nice to hear this track on the Hot Space Bonus EP. Oh well.

Some of it reminds me of "You Don't Fool Me".

I honesly think Brian just made that up on the spot. Does anyone honestly hear Freddie say 'sex show'? The word 'sex' is maybe in there, but he certainly does not say 'sex show' to my ears.

He clearly says "Sex Show!" at the end, just as they transition into KYA.

Before hearing the commentary, I assumed he said a lower little bit lower bah be bah bah bah you're sexual, but after hearing the commentary SEX SHOW also fits. Seeing as this turned into back chat I think its safe to assume “sex show” is the real title the band gave the jam whilst working on it.

I haven't listened to that commentary lately, but don't recall it being said that "Sex Show" became "Back Chat." If I remember correctly, Brian says "Sex Show" was a Freddie-penned track. We know "Back Chat" was a John song, so forgive me for wondering if we're just assuming it transformed in BC because of the funky similarities and the period they both were written in. Or do we have a definite confirmation on this?

Like all my posts it's half remembered facts filled in with guess work and stuff i just make up, double check everything I write with someone who know what they are talking about.

The opening sounds just like back chat, and by that i mean you can sing the lyrics from back chat to it.

The Mobile Vision version translates it as 'a fast fast fast faster John' :D
John: "It's the one thing I wish I could do - sing."

Freddie doesn't sing "Sex show" there, he sings "Sex on the beach".

A reliable source (Penetration Guru) said that he recalled reading a magazine interview with Roger, in which Taylor claimed that 'Heaven For Everyone' was originally written for Joan Armatrading; upon her rejection of the song, Roger apparently called her a bitch! Since she performs incidental vocals on 'Don't Lose Your Head', this supports the notion that HFE dates to circa ~1986.

However, whether it was ever subsequently or previously intended as a Queen or Highlander related project is another kettle of fish altogether...

I wasn't saying HFE was not from the Magic era, I was saying that with "Sex Show" we have a sampling of the song live, a direct quote from Brian while listening to the clip and a date from that performance, from which we can reasonably infer a few extra details, such as the sessions it was likely recorded during.

Comparatively, we haven't heard a clip of HFE predating the The Cross sessions, let alone a Queen or Roger demo. I'd like to read the quote about Joan Armatrading and in the meantime I do believe the quote exists and believe Roger wrote the song around that time, though probably not intending it for Queen (by Roger's account, Freddie heard Roger's Cross version and wanted to sing it himself, which implies that Freddie hadn't heard it before 1987). Armatrading appears on Roger's "Don't Lose Your Head," so that connection is viable indeed. That's all we know and can reasonably assume.

Basically, we know more about "Sex Show" than we do about some other outtakes and demos.

Perhaps Queen Productions has a suprise in store for us after all the re-issues are released? An album that features completed songs including Sexshow.  Maybe those Queen + Michael Jackson tracks will also feature on it. Oh well..who am I kidding.
