We had to bury our pet rabbit today. :( Very sad. Her name was Lily, and we had her for nine years.[/QUOTE]

Aww, that's so sad :(

She was the best bunny ever. When she was a baby she saw everybody as a human salt wheel and she'd nuzzle into your neck and lick you silly. My son was little then and he would squirm and grin and giggle madly. So many memories and rabbit events between then and the end of her life, but for whatever reason it is that recollection that stands out the most and gets me teary. She was old in rabbit time so not unexpected, but still takes some getting used to. I appreciate your thoughts. :)

Damn, I hate it when things like this happen. That's why my dad never wants pets; he doesn't want to see them go.

I'm sorry about that GratefulFan.

Wow there was no HB thread for RMT in QZ on 26/07/12. Looks like all the young RMT fans in QZ have grown up and left.

I've spent a decent part of the first week of my exciting summer vacation mucking clutter out of my basement. I know, right? Woo hoo! I came across a newspaper I bought when travelling in California in 2005.  I bought it because it made me giggle, all the more because nobody in line with me, except my travelling parter, thought it was even remotely funny.  In fact I'm pretty sure some of them might still hate tourists to this day just because of me. Anyway, it was sitting on the shelf folded in half as papers are, so I want to show you the bottom half of the front page first, normally hidden, to give some context: Below the fold So, you get the gist. Now: Above the fold Ha ha ha!

GF, sorry bout your bunny. The kids and I go to the feed store down the street and always pet the bunnies and little ferrets. Never had one as a pet, I have trouble enough keeping up with all I have to do. My life is very different, hmmm, sorta hippie-like. I get a lot of enjoyment out of seeing how thrifty I can be :-)

Cleaning the eavestroughs chez my house today, a newspaper fell out. The little writing I could make out said "Obama searches for VP". Unless Biden was wandering the West Wing in a drunken stupor, or ditched a plane in the Rockies or something some time in the last year, I think my task scheduling is a bit alarmingly spaced. Lol.

I just fixed my dryer. This makes me Super Girl! It was tumbling but it had no heat. It was only a fuse, but my electrical panel is ancient and creepy and this meant I had to look at it and touch it so that is something right there. This fuse was hidden in a switch box thing just for the dryer and I figured that out after only 40 or so minutes of comically ineffective troubleshooting and frozen blinking incomprehension. So there. If anybody needs clothes dried I'm not ruling out that my superpowers might include flying and teleportation. So let me know.

I was having a perfectly pleasant chatty QZ evening and now it is just after 2:00 am and I'm back from emerg with my son who now has a huge cast on his arm. He fell on some stairs and broke his left wrist. :( The timing is terrible as he is the final running for a new job he really wants and this may impact their decision which was supposed to come by Tuesday. I can't sleep and don't even want to think about how whacked I'm going to be in the morning. Lucky I'm Super Girl! :P

Had a text exchange with my son's sister this evening about Christmas gifts. Looks like a great Christmas for him as long as he doesn't pick up the phone.

A friend of mine recently put a new song, called "Lights In The Sky". Figured you guys might like it, it's got some very Queen-ly elements especially with the backing vocals :-)
