It's the concerts from 76-79 that I'd really like to see be given the full treatment like the current 'officially released' DVDs.

I've recently been hoping they'd release something worthwhile, and now I know it is going to happen! I mean the complete first concert at Wembley. But what about concerts from 70's? Will they ever release them? I doubt. If the news about releasing complete Rainbow '74 weren't a joke... then we're still luckies!

Many of us older fans have stressed the concern of Queen Productions neglecting the brilliant shows of the 70’s. I know with today’s technology, technical difficulties can be “fixed” by using any audio that may have dropped here or drums crashing during the middle of “You Take My Breath Away” there, etc... We see high quality footage of The Rainbow, Hyde Park and Earls Court all over YouTube and it’s a real shame that we have yet to see any of these releases. I know Jacky has stressed that Mr. Beach didn’t see a possibility of these shows ever being released because of technical problems which blows my mind to be honest with you. I’ve been spending my hard earned money on everything Queen have ever done since ‘75. I’ve purchased every Queen album, single, 8-track, cassett, CD (4 times each), DVD’s, etc... I literally own every Queen CD 4 times in various sets... WE CRAVE 70’s QUEEN (like many, many fans) and all that we can buy is 80’s Queen... Queen were fierce live and many of the younger fans out there have no idea how vicious they were at these 70’s shows... ALSO,loved the documentary (Day’s of Our Lives) and was flabbergasted that there was studio footage of “We Are the Champions”!!! That was AMAZING to see. I never knew it existed, I nearly peed myself when I saw it... Queen has known for years that their fans are intelligent and could sit for hours on end watching them work in the studio. We want to hear every guitar layer of Brian's magnificent orchestrations, every layered backing vocal, every bass and drum track, we LOVE this stuff. We have: We Will Rock You DVD (purchased 3 times), Wembley, Rock In Rio, On Fire at the Bowl but NOTHING from the 70’s... Queen in the 80’s were a well refined, stadium phenom but in the 70’s, a vicious badass outfit!!! I was hoping for the 40th they would be re-releasing the Queen catalog with accompanying DVD (as the second bonus disc) of any footage from that era... Example: A Day at the Races CD WITH Earls Court DVD... I also hear that a possible Grand Anthology is in the works!!!I hope the folks at Island, Hollywood, Jim Beach and Brian & Roger demand 70’s stuff... I would spend $100’s on it and so would your older die hards out there... We’re terrified that we may not see this stuff until the 50th Anniversary when many of us will be long gone due to natural causes...
C'mon guys!!!
