Why do they sound awful? They are just previews. It's just the way they are.
"I really feel like being evil tonight."
Invisible Man Demo sounds ace.
I think the Headlong Demo with Brian's guide vocal sounds like its going to be good. I can't wait to hear them all though.
When I first saw the track listing for the bonus disc, I was really dissapointed, but after listening to them I have to admit the "New" unheard versions are great, just to have Roger lead vocal on "Invisible Man" & Ride The Wild Wind"  have made it for me. + a clean version of Brian's Guide vocal on "Headlong" great!!!!  Obviously these are only snippets, & if Roger sings lead for the full tracks (those Mentioned) or if Freddie joins in for later verses, who cares they are great. Just a pitty that they didn't put more on, to fill the full 80mins of wasted disc.
Joyful the sound
TIM demo sounds harder - the bass and gutars are different and I think I prefer it to the album cut.
The demo for "a kind of magic" is great with alternate lyrics. Also "invisible man", "ride the wild wind" and "headlong" for me are interesting. but only those 4 and nothing more.
As I can hear there is a 'patched' version of It's a hard life (live in Rio) with Freddie singing the line 'it's a chance you have to take with love' instead actual 'la la la la la'    ))
A Winter's Tale (Cosy Fireside Mix - 2011 Remaster)  sounds like demo
Drums in "Ride The Wild Wind" demo sounded like "Freedom Train", even the vocals have an idea of those song.

Hard to say until we get the full thing. But from the snippet, it sounds like Freddie's vocal is perhaps a different take, or they did something with the vocal because it sounds alot more powerful, rather than the one on Made In Heaven...just my take on it.

I think it's actually the contrary - the album version has some processing on the vocal, but this one sounds pretty raw.  It's the same take.

The "Rock in Rio" video was an edit of both nights from the Festival.  Since the Wembley Bonus tracks are from the Friday night & not the already released Saturday gig. Maybe they have done the same with the Rio "Hard Life", Given us the other night's performance.
