Jacky Smith wrote through Facebook that Brian's actually pissed that, once again, his words were completely misconstrued and there are NO plans for a Queen + Lady Gaga tour. He's doing his best to ignore the media bullshit otherwise, hence any lack of public rebuttals.

Perhaps so, but I still find her 'music' distasteful, and her utter incompatibility with Queen's music isn't really debatable, IMHO. It's as if Bob Marley died, and The Wailers decided to get the singer from Gorefest to front the band.

The story turned out to be untrue.  So, God Saved (The) Queen.

Please Queen, do not try to recapture the glory days you had with Freddie Mercury and John Deacon. Queen is not Queen without all 4 original members. That is what created the Queen magic.

Nothing against Brian and Roger,  but why the hell would the biggest artist of this generation record an album and tour with two aging rockers?....let's be honest......It's one thing for GaGa to let brian play on one of her songs, but it's silly to think she would Stop her own sucessful tour to play with Half of Queen....Ga Ga fans would be pretty pissed off......

I dont seen much point in most of the projects Brian and Rogers get involved in these days but some sort of collaboration with Lady Gaga would not be among the worst of what they have done.

I think freddie wouldn't have given a shit who they duet'd with... he would probably have been the first to match up with someone like her if it kept him in the mainstream. Freddie was very commercialy motivated to remember.

The story has been taken out of context, but it's mad to see how many fans forget that there are still 2 musicians left in Queen wanting to try new things, new collaborations. What they do with the band's "legacy" is totally up to them. they don't need to justify themselves to anyone, and they're far from "embarrasing" themselves. If anything, it's mainly down to them that the music has had such longevity and still remains in the public eye. Whether they've did it for personal or financial (doubt it) reasons is besides the point.

WWRY musical, collaborations with Robbie, 5, Pepsi adverts, Paul Rodgers, Q Extravaganza, Amercan Idol, X Factor, etc etc... without these things, Queen wouldn't have been anyhwere near as popular these days, even with freddie's passing. the fact the new YouTube generation has Freddie as some kind of God would not have came about without Bri and Rog continuing the legacy as they are doing.

There would be no Queen these days without these 2 keeping the name alive in what they do, sure we may have had an anthology before now, but surely it's best having the music remain strong for many years to come instead?

I could actually see her singing some songs from The miracle quite believably... invisible man, krash ship, my baby does me, rain must fall... and her Paparazzi could be mixed into Scandal quite well imo.
