Listening to Keep Yourself Alive at the moment - thoughts so far.

Generally speaking I like audience recordings, as you feel part of the show (no shit, sherlock!) - and this is no exception.
I wonder how close the taper was to the front, as it seems a little distant at times - particularly with the talk between songs. Having said that, you can hear what is going on without too much difficulty.

N.B.

Is this the version Bob refers to on queenlive.ca? (where the taper takes the cassette out of his pocket - as it is clearer from Now I'm Here onwards).

That's right, Jim Jenkins seemed to be close to the stage but hid his tape recorder a bit too much, lol

Yep, that's the one.  But of course that's just my assumption, based on years of hearing audience recordings and observing the changes in sound quality.  There could've just been a really overweight guy directly in front of his recorder or external mic who left before the encore !

Wow, you are a moron.

Someone generously shares their treasured tape and you have the nerve to slag them off, especially when there is always a chance there could be MORE in their collection?

There are hundreds of audience tapes far worse than this one. And you have downloaded them. Not that that even matters.

Shut the fuck up and say thanks. Nobody asked you to download this item offered to you for FREE.
