http://www.rtl.nl/(/actueel/rtlnieuws/)/components/actueel/rtlnieuws/2011/11_november/24/muziek/20-jaar-na-freddie-mercury.xml

At the bottom of the page, the RTL news (Netherlands) reporter claims he has a unique recording of the first Queen show in The Netherlands, The Hague 8 december 1974. He put a small fragment of Freddies welcoming speech and Killer Queen on this page. Is this a known recording?

There has been a rumour of this show being recorded for a long time now and apparently some footage too. One of many uncirculated and rumoured bootlegs to exist. But neither has seen the light of day unfortunately. And no, it's not in the Queen archives.

Amazing. And sounds pretty decent, I'm quite sure this will see the light of the day...

Great to know it exists !

Can anyone manage to capture this audio so we can save it?

Sometimes you can find a direct link in the source code, but not in this case... it's really embedded in there.

I hope in the end the recording will make it to the bootleg scene. It REALLY needs some work to be put into it. (noise reduction etc.). What is more, it is nice to hear Freddie hitting all the right notes on the KQ as it show in the 75' they didn't have to overdub that much.

I was just able to save the sample, it's mp3 format.
Now uploading it.

You're the man, Harry ... thanks !

Agreed with Queenman.  Only one person should be initiating the communication if we're going to try and get the complete recording.

And of course this tape isn't in the Queen archives.  It's an uncirculated audience recording.

Wow, amazing find!

It seems either Brian or Freddie says 'Dankjewel' in the very beginning, which is 'Thank you' in Dutch. I could have misheard it, of course.
John: "It's the one thing I wish I could do - sing."

No, it's Brian saying "thanks a lot" :-)
