Good.
There's not a chance they'd be able to top Made In Heaven. The last Queen album is a very strong one, and there is no need to go out with a whimper.
Bring on the old concerts and boxed set.

He didn't say that there isn't many of the demos. He DID said that there is not enough for a new album. That's a difference. And I suppose they were looking through the recent ones (demos recorded during 1982-1991) as not to make a confusion with "whose is that voice ". I assure you, if they would rework the early demos (72'-80) people would ask "wow, who's that :D?"
As I said in another topic on the very same matter. It is said that they won't have a go at the "barrel-scraping exercise" as we won't get to hear what's there in the vaults without anniversary/anthology. What is more, if they reworked these domes with John and David Richards the result could be magnificent. If these demos would have been reworked wisely with Freddie on vocals the outcome and success and praise and that's all would be guaranteed. But nah, they give us the MJ + FM tracks so people would stop asking where is the new material ? In my opinion they're tired and want to concentrate on some childish stuff like Queen Extravaganza (aka: who would sing in our tribute band?)

" the last thing I want to do is have a sort of barrel-scraping exercise. "
He says before flying out to judge some absolute bullshit Queen x factor shite.

Sometimes I really don't get you people. Why would you concern yourselves with some ancient low quality recordings with the old faggot, when there are so many fresh new things to be enjoyed? Forget old demo's, we want more musicals, collaborations with Gaga, Beyonce, Britney, Anita Dobson, 5ive and, if possible, a concept album with Adele.
I have this great idea for a concept about a society where rock 'n' roll is out of fashion and forbidden, and two young kids called Elt Benton and Brooke Greggs try to bring it back. In order to do this, they must somehow manage to convince a young bespectacled wizard to throw a ring into a mountain top, and turn two nondescript ageing ex-rockers into pigeons so they can fly up and take a dump on a Freddie Mercury statue. All this while trying to avoid their mortal enemy, "The-Spoilsport-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named-Except-When-He-Cashes-A-Royalty-Paycheck". Then they all go on a quest for The One Boxset and live happily ever after, except those who were dead to begin with. Instant joy, even if i do say so myself.

Finishing songs with Michael Jackson IS scraping the barrel. New Rule... If anyone releases an album after they're dead it probably sucks. If Tupac,or Elvis thought it was good enough to be released, they would have released them when it would have helped them get blown- Bill Maher

It's just a bloody shame that Brian and Roger stopped making NEW music, they are both excellent songwriters and theý could've made so many great songs. In a creative point of view, they have retired a few years ago. Look at how other artists are still going strong and are full of energy (Springsteen new album and tour at 62).
Here we are begging for some songs that were recorded over 20 years ago. Brian and Roger don't seem to care. Collecting awards, playing WWRY over and over and promoting a musical and organizing talent shows is the core business now. Where has the creativity gone? Why record new songs, why do live shows if you can have it the easy way.
They could've done so much more and it could've been done so much better, if there was genuine passion for music and fans.
Respect to John for quitting at the right moment. He knew where things were going, and stepped out.

Buahahaha. Didn't I say that won't be any new album and all this rumors are just another Queen bullshit? They are pathetic.

I also agree...although i think it increasingly unlikely that either will ever happen. i suspect that with QPL we will get exactly what we have always got - re-hashed repeats of the same old stuff, with slightly different packaging and an increasing number of "documentation errors" face facts time: QPL are not going to release any Queen anthology - not enough money to be made and as for the live 70s concerts - sorry but no chance - the crap they had on their "live download site" a couple of years ago was as good as it'll ever get - which is crap
if QPL had any kind of interest in their fans - they give the masters of ALL the unreleased demos, outtakes and unfinished songs to their production team, have them clean them up a little and upload ALL of them to their website - where REAL fans can pay to download whichever tracks they are interested in
at least this way tehy'd make some money from these tracks before they all eventually leak, and WE the fans would get to have/hear them
but this wont happen as QPL, Brian Roger and the rest don't give a flying gnat's bollock for the real fans...so f**king screw them!!!!

one dream, one soul... actually, no dream, no soul, no morals, no ethics, no pride.
Just... time to shut up and go away... Queen 1971-1991 (or 2011 if you believe the crap)
Can this be the last post ever..??

Pretty disappointing news indeed. And I couldn't agree more with the fact that re-newing the MJ tracks is indeed scrapping the barrel. But a new album could easily be released, what is gonna happen with the tracks Greg Brooks has played at the conventions, will those tracks ever see the light? He did played various complete tracks, did he played those tracks just as a teaser or did he let us hear those songs for the main reason that they are surfacing songs, complete and ready for release? Anthology? Or am I completely whishful thinking here?
