Will There Be Another Queen Album? Seriously Now...

I'm fully aware of what Roger said recently but it appears he isn't aware that there are/were enough Freddie Mercury vocals for another album. Plus how could Universal not push for such a project considering how successful "Made In Heaven" was?
Freddie Vocals: Some of those vocals were "wasted" on the FM "Solo Collection" ("Love Makin Love", "New York", "Holding On", "I Can't Dance"). Now completed songs like "Silver Salmon" might be better for an "outake anthology" of some sort.
Isn't it so there are several nearly finished songs in the vault? I've heard some pretty good stuff that, sure, may need gaps filled vocally, that is very usable. I mean "You Don't Fool Me" can be created so can many other songs.
If you add the three MJ duets you could create one more very credible album and it would be a smash. I really hope Universal puts the pressure on Brian and Roger for this. Why waste Freddie vocals when they have such great value?

We don't know. Most of us here want an anthology, as well as a new album.
There is unused Freddie material that can now be used. There are several finished songs in the vault. (Silver Salmon, as you stated, Polar Bear, Dog With a Bone, Self Made Man, Robbery, etc.)
Welcome to Queenzone by the way.

Don't count on it...it would be awesome, but you have a better chance of Freddie coming back to life before another 'new' album comes out.

Well one thing I hope doesn't occur is they drip feed the unreleased "new" tracks two at a time on new "best of" sets every few years. The "bonus" discs on the remasters have very little new material and were pretty stingy. Now, mind you, I didn't purchase them. I purchased the single disc remasters because I loathe 5-6 song discs and there was barely anything I cared about on them. I do admire that they did release the cheaper one disc remasters at the same time.
"Anthology"? Well, I just don't get why people want inferior versions of material they already have. Perhaps if they contained alternate lyrics or are radically different than the released and live versions we have. If they do an anthology I hope they ONLY include the cream of the crop (unlike the "bonus" discs).

Any release with significant new material would satisfy me at the moment. It's probably asking a bit much of them for an anthology or new album, but it's still nice to hope.
I personally find it interesting to listen to early versions/takes of songs to see how the songs differed and evolved over time. Many of the earlier versions of the songs aren't necessarily inferior, either. Take "The Invisible Man" for example, the guide vocal demo released on The Miracle's Bonus EP is (in my opinion) much better than the finalized version.

Rock It - RT Track off the Game was mentioned as having a vocal by Freddie, but understand the band preferred RT's version. I know who's version I would rather hear.
That Long Away track would have been worth a listen if Freddie had laid down a vocal for that too.

If they're going to do a new album, I'd rather have another "Made in Heaven" than another "Cosmos Rocks".
That's not necessary a crack at Paul Rodgers as a singer, by the way -- but the quality of Queen's songwriting went downhill with CR.

Most definately be a new album, for Christmas 2012 "Queen - Absolute, Absolute greatest hits" & not forgetting "Queen - Best of Deep Cuts"

Made in Heaven was a smash ... but that was sixteen years ago.
Nowadays, a(nother) compilation of hits would sell way more.
If it were in my hands, I'd choose they released a cappella, instrumental and backing track versions of their back-to-back catalogue, as well as some 'Making of...' for certain songs (as in Brian explaining how he did Procession and then showing the contents from each separate track and how it was put together).
That'd be way more interesting than stuff that was deemed 'not good enough' for Hot Space or The Works.

"stuff that was deemed 'not good enough' for Hot Space or The Works"
nothing could be worse than Hot Space. Here are 8 tracks I would like to see Queen rework with Fred's vocals.
1. She Blows Hot and Cold
2. In My Defence
3. Dog With a Bone
4.Feelings, Feelings
5. New York
6. Time
7.We Will Rock You (Fast Studio Version)
8.Feel Like

Said it before, and i'll say it again... I hope that someone makes a remix album of the "PROPERTY OF QUEEN PRODUCTIONS" bloke on top of all those convention playbacks.
The man has astounding talent!
Otherwise it WILL be "the absolute greatest of the absolute best of Queen A-H" followed by "the Absolute greatest of the best of the Platinum Collection 1972-1995" featuring a 3:40 mix of I'm Going Slightly Mad.

What do you think about an acoustic live CD (maybe also DVD) with the greatest hits as well as other not well known tracks....
I´ve always been asking myself how an acoustic Queen album must sound.
Saludos and a Happy New Year.

I'd rather just hear old demos reworked into songs (Robbery, Feelings etc.)
