BBC SOunds of the Seventies is currently being broadcast and it showed Good Old Fashioned Loverboy from a 1977 Top of the Pops performance. It's also on Youtube:

Basically it's the album version except Brian plays live guitar.

It's already 10 years available on a official dvd release...
(greatest video hits 1)

I must buy that some day ...
"Queen is the only band in the world that can play so heavily that your nose bleeds, then offer a silk handkerchief to clean up with."
At 1:41, there seems to be video from 3/31/74, Live at the Rainbow. What do you think of this, experts? So besides, Son & Daughter and Modern Times, we have 7 Seas of Rhye from this show? Look at Brian May's blouse, it appears as if we have a match.
It's from one of the November Rainbow shows I'm afraid. AFAIK QPL only have footage of Son And Daughter & Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll from the March show. I hope the other songs are out there somewhere...
Property Of Queen Productions...
SSOR is not on the official video release.
No, but they now (reportedly) have the uncut footage from both November shows (or at least the first night).

You will see footage from the first night looking significantly "darker" than the second night's footage, the unedited version shown at the SiS exhibition had a distinctly red tinge to all the areas of the picture which should have been black. Correction of this has resulted in an "odd" look to the footage from the first night I have seen, and so it is easily distinguishable.

What's the latest on this, anyone have any luck?
Not me unfortunately

Any updates, new snippets?
The guy who has uploaded the sample or SSOR have:

2 versions of Seven Seas Of Rhye in full color.
1 version of Seven Seas Of Rhye in B/W (possibly the one on Days Of Our Lives, but in better quality)

And Now I'm Here from 1975.
Don't forget my collection of demos and outtakes: http://goo.gl/uQARhn PM me if you want any [leaked] multitrack. Ya se ven los tigres en la lluvia.

Indeed. I haven´t checked yet, but i believe that he has better looking versions than Queen had in their archives. This guy is star. Because of him we now have great Queen stuff from TOTP.

One thing that i don´t like in this process is the secrecy. QP make it look like us - the fans - are working against Queen. When we are not!
Obviously they read this site to find these kind of gems. They don´t interact with fans, they just follow the links, and voilá!
Then, not a word from them to let us know if they got it, what´s it look like, or just a thank you to the fans who brought this to their attention.

Next time someone find these kind of gems and thinks about purchasing it, the advice is - buy first, post links and information later.
I kid you not, if they were more "open" with their fans they could have so much more things flying to their archives willingly, it´s unbelievable. But they still make business the old way.

By the way, do Queen own the rights to their TOTP appearances?

as regards a complete list of TOTP appearances -
ask Dave Lee Travis - he may have a load of time on his hands very soon.... :-)

You mean Queen didn´t mail you these videos? :-) LOL

When i say we, i mean "We" as in the Queen family. We are a big and happy sharing family. If Queen have it, that means we have it! :-)

Kidding aside, i said we because i believe it will be released in the future - maybe on their complete greatest hits project. I remember they wet their panties when they´ve found the "bad" version of this, so i know they must be on the moon with this finding. I just wish they could be more open with the fans, who in the end are responsable for bringing this gems to their attention.

But i´m pissed i won´t get to see this now. There was a user who downloaded the HQ version of the SSOR from the site, maybe he could uploaded it here for us to see it? That would be fantastic!
