Following the topic regarding the multitracks of Hyde Park, I'd just like to discuss its recording for Capital Radio (don't know whether this has been discussed here before or not).
I got the info from http://queenlive.ca/ (I wonder why I didn't notice it before): http://queenlive.ca/queen/live%20pics/RecordCollector_jun1989_p5-6.jpg
Does anybody know more of this transcription disc? I guess it's never been aired? And if so, may it ever leak out?

I dreamed about all concerning Hyde Park

Did Capital Radio not air it on the day?
I don't know as I was at the concert.
Never really got to the bottom of this.

If I remember correctly some radio station wanted to broadcast it in 2005 before the QPR Hyde Park concert
Unknown
But does anyone actually remember if it was ever broadcast on Capital Radio?

In the article the LP is on the "official" releases ones... so mostly like it was broadcasted...
and as it has (had) a price (100 pounds, too much even today, in these ages it was a fortune) someone must have this LP... maybe isnt better that the bootleg audio we have, maybe is the same... or maybe it was recorded by other crew (capital crew)

This extract from the '76 Autumn issue of the Fan Club magazine confirms the concert did not go out live on Capital Radio.

So, it was not broadcasted but there is a record of the concert... Maybe they used this recording for You Take My Breath Away on the second disc of ADATR reissue. Better than nothing...

Assuming Capital Radio still have that recording and it's in good shape, then QPL have no excuses not to release the full thing on video with a stereo soundtrack.
Of course though, that precludes them making overdubs which means they'd have to put it out unadulterated....

... which sadly won't happen (I guess)

Thanks for that.
But this begs the question - why would this 1989 Record Collector magazine advertise a Capital Radio transcription disc of the show as being for sale (or at least, existing)?

[/QUOTE]Well, those Record Collector editions about Queen live in the seventies and live in the eighties have some more interesting facts... it mentions a recording from Alexandra Palace '79 "which is hard to find these days" (something along those lines), it mentions how the band recorded London '78 shows and UK 1984 shows, This has recently been denied (unfortunately since I'd really like Birmingham 84 first night and ALL 78 London shows....).

FYI That's a price guide for collectors, not an advert.
