Is there a full length HD version of this show rather than just the 1 hour?
Also I appear to already have another version of this which is filename "Queen and Paul Rodgers-Let the Cosmos Rock!.ts" and is 7.63GB in size (still HD 1 hour version of the concert) with 384kpbs DD5.1 audio. I downloaded this from a torrent last week. I could have sworn I found it on Queezone or following links from Queenzone, but I cannot for the life of me find where I got it from now. It's a fantastic concert with great HD picture quality, hence wanting the entire 2.5 hours.[/QUOTE]
No. There's only this hour-long edit in HD.
The upload here is the same show as the .ts file you downloaded last week.
Peter has simply messed with it to make it more compatible for people to play.

Yeah I did have problems playing the .ts file, I can't serve it by DLNA over my network. I ended up having to FTP it onto my Humax HDR Fox T2 (Freeview+ HD box) and play it locally from the hard disc there. Even then I can't rewind/ffwd or anything so it's a pain, and there are some glitches in the audio (maybe a dozen or so).
The .mkv file will be a lot more convenient, I'll be able to serve it by DLNA over my network to my Oppo BDP-95EU blu ray player or to the HDR Fox T2 and rewind/ffwd and skip backwards/forwards will work. I wonder why the .mkv file is 1GB smaller though. Is it really that much more efficient a container?
Anyway I thoroughly recommend this video, assuming it's the same as the .ts I have. Picture quality is fantastic, audio is OK (DD5.1 at 384kbps, disappointingly low bit rate but gets away with it) and it looks like a really great concert. I'm downloading the bootleg DVD of the entire 2.5 hours as well.

The original file appears to have messed up timecode, that's one of the reasons why I reencoded it for myself. And yes, the source for this mkv file is the ts file from the russian tracker. Video is re-encoded to x264, audio is the same

The video in the .ts I already have is H.264 1920x1080 50Hz, and I don't have any russian trackers on the torrent. The file size I have is 8,199,828,868 bytes and the hash is:
The hash and/or filesize should at least resolve firmly whether you started from the same file as I have or yet another variant.

By the way, your torrent doesn't look very healthy on seeds yet. I see 1 seed and 72 peers, that's an appalling seed/peer ratio. Has no-one downloaded the complete file from Pittrek yet?
OwenSmith · Member since
Well now there are zero seeds and I have 45.5% of the file. All that's happening is that some of the peers are uploading bits from me, but they don't appear to have anything I don't as the availability is 45.5%.
This isn't going to move forward unless someone seeds it again. There are 42 peers waiting.

Stuck on 45% please seeeeeeeeeed lol
cheers

If I read any more comments requesting seeding I stop seeding permanently. I am doing what I can with my crappy connection, especially my crappy upload speed
OwenSmith · Member since
Out of interest what is your upload speed?

officially 1 Megabit, realistically around 110 kBps

If you mean 110 K bytes per second, then you're doing well for 1 megabit. I have 1 megabit uplink, and uTorrent is pretty much maxing it out when it reports around 105kB/s uplink.
The confusion between bytes and bits per second is a pain in the neck. It's a shame Byte and Bit both start with a 'B'.

Thanks for this share :-)

There were 11 seeds for this at one point at the weekend, now there are zero and 40 peers trying to download. I'm stuck on 92.5%. Can some of the people that downloaded this start seeding again please (not Pittrek, he did his bit with the initial seeding).

New seeders should appear in a few hours
OwenSmith · Member since
Thanks, there are now 32 seeders and 14 peers, much healthier. It finished downloading during the day and now I am seeding.
I haven't had chance to play this copy yet, I played the 2.5 hour bootleg DVD of the entire concert last night. It's clear from the DVD compared to the previous hidef copy that the camera shots are mostly (all?) different between the TV broadcast and the HD footage.
I also find it very odd listening to The Show Must Go On in the wrong key. It makes it sound slow as well, although I believe the tempo is correct. Just a mental thing. I haven't checked the correct key but off the top of my head I'd say they've transposed down 2 tones, probably so Paul Rodgers can sing the high notes.
