or better still, in twisted irony...
freddie gets sick of rock n roll and takes a longgggg sabbatical from 1995-2010
but then comes back for one last "farewell tour 2012" and ends up singing a Brian May influenced setlist that includes a a complete rendition of "The Cosmos Rocks"
- so much so that on the "audience recorded" bootlegs you can clearly hear some c*nt opining "what's this sh*t?" before half of the songs
...now that would be funny[/QUOTE]
I have this fear that much of The Cosmos Rocks was composed prior to Paul Rodgers' entry.
Butterfly/Some Things That Glitter was pretty good, SMall was great, We Believe needed an editor, but it's aim was great.
C-lebrity (C minus = a barely passing grade in the USA)
sounded too much like "A Touch of Evil" - Judas Priest 1992 for me to liken it to a rocking rebirth... but it was still one of my favorites on the album... considering it didnt have much.
The fact i can't seem to recall many of the others is probably a part of my mind's defense systems.
please refer to my old post for TCR viewpoint.

In either event, that would be a horrible tour if it encompassed TCR.
If Freddie took a leave and was presumably healthy... Brian would have probably joined a new group fronted with Toni Iommi and an unheard of new lead singer.
Roger would be involved in these old time foggie rock star sex tape scandals, and Freddie would have done a Disney film collaboration, but wound up publicly ridiculed for "hanging out" with George Michael at a public park and his image would never be the same again.
John Deacon would leave to produce several unheard of one-hit wonder girl groups...only to wed about 6 of the members of 3 separate groups in bitter, acrimonious public divorce.
No tours.
If the bad things hadn't happened, i think the band would have dredged up a mediocre album like the WORKS until the possibly retired in 1995.
Reunion tour in 2001. maybe 12 shows.
Four new songs.
One with Fergie and Freddie Mercury about the merits of a stripper pole.
Freddie would collaborate with all the queer folks in the industry: 50 Cent, Eminem, Dr Dre, SNoop Dogg, Limp Bizkit, Metallica etc...
