I want to chime in on the conversation, but the download is very slow. Each track is taking about ten minutes, so it will take a while to complete it.
Any chance someone could share/torrent the files here?[/QUOTE]

I've just created a torrent http://www.queenzone.com/forums/1303009/announce-queen-wembley-stadium-1986-new-wardour-release.aspx?anchor=1303009
Go and download it :-)

Cooooool, thanks !
And from the same website, there's a pending Godfather Records boxed set of the Montreal, Boston and NY (first night) 82 audience tapes.
Probably nothing new musically speaking, but it's worth keeping an eye on.

Putting this up for a couple of days. This torrent, synced to the Wembley video.
That'll give you guys time to download it and decide how you want to host it, because I don't really want the copyright burden. Use Keepvid or something.

Had a bit of fun doing that, I decided to use my editing powers for good instead of evil for once.
The audience tape didn't run at a constant speed - I had to speed up the first half, and gradually the speed evened out with the DVD until I had to start slowing the things down. I did it on a song by song basis and basically kept it in sync that way.
It's interesting to hear what people would've heard in the crowd that day. The mixing seems a bit crude to be honest! Very much a case of 'here comes some lead guitar - sudden boost in volume - he's done now, kill the guitar'. Reverb and echo stuff is fun to listen to as well when it gets switched in.
Notice that I didn't watermark this. Some people like to put their names on shit, well fuck 'em. As I said, I won't keep this up for too long so download it if you like it and share it as much as you want.

Excellent observations, and great job on the video !

Cheers man!
Another little curio - this audio having obviously been recorded close up to one half of the PA, you can hear panned delay stuff in the distance in front of the other side of the stadium.

I think there's one or two occasions where I had to put in stuff from the DVD where the bootleg was missing sound. The start of Brian's solo is one bit.

Yup, that's pretty normal. Tapes had to flipped every 30/45 mins.
Indeed, plenty of audience tapes were recorded off to one side, so you're not going to hear all of the stereo delay. One of the audience tapes from Nagoya 79 was recorded on the delay side, so Brighton Rock sounds really unique.

I've been listening to CD1 of this. Freddie's vocals and John's bass come over really well. Brian's guitar sounds a bit odd, not really sure what's up with that.
I've been really appreciating John's bass playing in this recording, since it's so clear and easy to pick it out of the mix. It's so nimble, he's so fast and light between the notes. John's playing here is a revelation compared to the later bassists from Q+PR, The Cross and Brian May Band I've been listening to a fair bit of recently. Sigh, we miss you John.
