I swear people watched a different Tribute Concert than the one I saw. I keep seeing morons going on about how great Axl Rose was. Christ on a Cracker.
People only clap for George Michael because they were expecting Wham and what they got was a competent, decent rendition. Measured against the rest of the crap that day, it must've seemed pretty amazing at the time.

I was there, and Seal was fine. Damn sight better than that extravaganza clip I saw.
