It's a pity that no one guessed secretly record on the video that showed at the convention

That's because we ask people not to record such things. If they want to see more of this stuff, then secretly recording what we show is not the way to go about it. It will ruin it for everyone if we can't show any more in the future.

It's ultimately up to Brian, Roger, and Jim Beach what gets released, not GT, not Universal or Hollywood Records, or anyone else for that matter.

I would guess there is at least some discussion between the record companies and the band about what is released; in all probablity, there is a contractual obligation to release material. What that material is, how much etc., is something we'll probably never be party to. (On a related point, we've even seen evidence recently that Queen were prepared to change the lyrics of a song at their record company's request.)

I recall video of Roger in recent months discussing the possibility of the release of an anthology saying something like "I imagine the record comany will want something like that at one point. It just sounds like a lot of work to me." The tone and manner was definitely along the lines of 'I may be made to do this down the road but it's not a project I look forward to or would necessarily choose on my own'. To the extent that a catalogue is a fundamental record company asset, thought through it's logical and reasonable that they have some influence.

Who is Gary? Who is Greg?
I'm new here and curious. Especially since you guys took up two pages arguing/talking about them, most of which is very non-productive
Thanks in advance

Gary Taylor (or GT as he's also known on this forum) works with the band Queen, providing assistance on many of their releases with research, liner notes, and other miscellaneous work that we may not all be privy to. He also attends the conventions, and like Greg Brooks (the band's archivist) has also done, he will show rare unreleased footage and interact with the fans.
