I would guess there is at least some discussion between the record companies and the band about what is released
Absolutely there is. To think that Brian and Roger are getting up everyday to work on releasing something from 30+ years ago is laughable. As long as they are employed by Hollywood Records, who holds exclusive rights to what is released (here in the States), Hollywood has the final say. Brian could ask that an entire Hot Space Tour Box Set with 60 page booklet and T Shirt be released, but if Hollywood doesn't think it will sell... they aren't gonna do it.
I sure as heck wouldn't authorize a release until after the Adam Lambert shows, to see if that generates any market for old footage. A few die-hards who catalog every show, press clip, interview, etc. is NOT a market. If 13 year old Billy will buy the Lambert DVD and a Queen CD, then it's possible.
Our hopes rest in the hands of Team Edward and Team Jacob. If they won't buy it.... we won't see it.

GT, When we might await announcent concerning DVD releases?

They'll get announced when the Press Releases get green lighted. Due to non-disclosure reasons, GT cannot tell you before that happens when anything might come out, so please stop harassing him on these things.

Is Hammersmith Odeon 1975 DVD is not planned for a release, unless the kid Lambert and three concerts with him isn`t?

I guess so.

Another returning to the convention was TV Producer SIMON LUPTON who gave us an insight into how he made the Days Of Our Lives TV programme. He talked about how the process of working on DVD releases such as Super Live In Japan and what it entails to put the project together. Simon kindly talked about future plans with Queen releases. Simon used to attend the conventions as a fan a few years back so he has a good idea of what is wanted.
Do I understand that the concert in Japan from 1985 is scheduled for release on DVD?

Super Live In Japan was a concert by Queen + Paul Rodgers, performed in Japan in October 2005 and released on DVD in April 2006.
