Knebworth 1986

Hi folks,

Just a little question. Does anyone know when Knebworth 1986 should be released on Dvd/bluray?
I heard that this was Queen's last show ever recorded.

Never. It wasn't filmed

By the way, no plans on Kebworth video releases for a number of reasons.

I don't believe that. I saw snippets of the footage in the recent 'days of our lives' documentary!

you saw "snippets" because "snippets" were all that was filmed. think i read somewhere there's about three or four complete songs

the only full filming of the concert to be "outed" to date is "home movie" where the filmer focussed at the big screen....

queen and their archivist have confirmed that no complete video either professional or official exists

I know I will write it for the 100th time, but :

- there were 2 camera crews, one working for DoRo and shooting various parts of the concert for a documentary, one "broadcasting" what appeared on stage on the huge Starvision screen
- only the DoRo footage exists, and it doesn't cover the whole concert - they were shooting a DOCUMENTARY about the tour

someone who has some free time should write a faq with all these questions which were answered here at this board many, many times. and moderators (if there any...) should make it sticky

It's a fair request, but I'm actually against the idea personally. If questions have to be asked a hundred times, then there's a hundred chances that an interesting discussion may arise. 99 less than if there is an FAQ section.

As I alluded to in another thread. There should be a dedicated 'Live' section of the board.

i still think that the last half of the show was recorded. SO that footage exists. i would be happy with a cd release of the full concert at least.

Hm, i know only audience filming, too. But we all can not be sure. Or known somebody about a complete filming from 1st Wembley night ? :-)

Yes, there are some snippes on "Rare live" Video but never saw a complete professionel recording.

But i think a complete professionel audio recording "sleeping" in archiv (but i dont really know). Some Songs are on "Live Magic" Album.

Isn't that mean, there is another full video source exist except for the audience video?

Not the feed from the big screen, or the footage on the big screen, but the footage OF the screen itself.
The footage we have all seen.
