Hi guys, Probably this was discussed before but I'll ask anyway!
I just listened to Under Pressure on youtube and the sound is very different, is this a different mix, is this the single version or do I have a problem with my speakers?
Different video also!

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like the version on Classic Queen which for some reason was completely remastered and remixed.

All the better for it too.

Agree. I love how prominent is Roger´s voice at the end of the Classic Queen version

Thanks for the answers, yeah I love Roger's voice also and Brian's guitar too.
I have the Classic Queen VHS I haven't played that one for years. Does it include the "normal" version or this one?
Cheers!!!

Under Pressure (Classic Queen Remix) 4:02
Written by Queen and David Bowie
Appears on: US Classic Queen, US David Bowie: The Singles
This remix is very close to the final album version. The bass lines seem to be a bit more prominent in the mix and the overall sound is a little less muddy. Freddie singing "that's okay!" has been removed right before Bowie sings, "it's the terror of knowing..." It is unknown who did this remix. It is rumored that this is actually an old mix from around the Hot Space time period.

The thing I like most is the clarity of the hi hat. From the first milisecond I heard this mix I knew it had been worked on.

Probably the best remix of any Queen song ever despite the fact the differences are actually quite small.

Does anyone have any information on why this remix was done and when it was done? I heard a rumor that it might actually be an older mix that wasn't made for Classic Queen.

This makes much more sense to me now, I always thought the last part of this song on Classic Queen sounded powerful. I'd love to know more about this remix.

Well I never knew that!
Sounds great.
Sadly some of the parts aren't as mindblowing as they could have been since I've already heard the elements from the GH stems (like the louder guitar at the end), but it's nice to have something "new" all the same :)

cheers for posting :)

Strange that they'd remove "that's okay". Apart from that I prefer this mix to the HS version.
