Don't get sucked in by MADUSA. He's already been in trouble on QOL. He's mental.
No Freddie, No John.....No Queen

Medusa is obviously this Kapone guy self promoting himself. He might even do enough noise online to be mentioned in an unreliable Web news site.

This is somewhat common. Around the time Daniel Craig was cast as James Bond there was a rumour that made the headlines with some nobody called "something" Travolta who set up a Website with head shots of him as James Bond. Even after Craig was cast there was some note here saying this guy had rejected the role (claiming he was John Travolta's cousin) - some news Websites actually reported it was John Travolta who had rejected the role.

many many people, thinking people, despise sacha baron cohen
because of the movie he wrote called Borat.

These people have real serious reasons for disliking him for that movie. Many just think he is crap anyway, but the majority of conscious humans on this plant know he is not a serious actor, and not the type of perfomer you would want to portray anyone in a serious movie , especially not in a movie about someone as much loved and respected as the seriosly great musician, Freddie Mercury.

The is how Roger Taylor said he wants Freddie to be remeMbered,

"As a seriously great musician'

For Queen to pick such a devisive a man to portray Freddie, openly & obviously , and confrontationally works against the kind of respect of Freddie as a serious musician that Roger says he wants for Freddie.

The real success of a movie, is not only based upon tickets sold but on how it is received when watched , Is It recieved as something that can be taken as a truly serious effort to make a movie with the kind of respectful and serious treatment Freddie's life story deserves?

Many people seem to be under a kind of mysterious spell. they seem to be seeing Freddie as the kind of one dimensional character that sacha Baron cohen portrays.

They dont seem to understand that a serious treatment of a persons life cannot work if the character is one dimensional.

Or that a serious film does not preclude a need for a boring serious film that has a complete lack of humour.

On the contrary, a film with a one dimensional actor will result in a total bore of a movie and will be embarassingly cringingly horrible to watch.

Sacha Barons Cohen specializes in one dimensional characters and his acting skill matches that one dimension.

For Freddie to be remebered a a seriously good musician , takes a character study not a one dimensional goofy attempt at a humourous portrayal by a bad actor such as Sacha Baron Cohen.

A real character portrayal will need and will include a rounded and real version of a person, both the humour and the serious.

Many many people did not believe it was true that sacha was going to play Freddie in the movie, they thought Queen would never allow such a thing.

There are numerous concrete good reasons why people thought Queen would never allow such a thing.

one being, no one would believe they would invest money on a movie about Freddie starring such a man.
A man who is so obviously incapable of serious dramatic acting, and whos NAME is so controversial and who's work literally seriously hated by many.

No one would think Queen, who repeatedly have stated they want to protect Freddie's image and legacy, would chose such an obviously devisive and unqualified person to portray the friend they say they seek to PROTECT.

It is was with shock we found out they seriously conceded to this.
I speak on behalf of millions.
The factual silent majority.

calm down dear!
If anyone has any doubts about SBC's abilities, just watch him in Sweeney Todd opposite Johnny Depp.
You'll be pleasantly surprised and reassured. He is more than capable. Trust me.
This is one of those "I may not know much about art but I know what I hate" topics and clearly Medusa-whatever hates Sasha. And now that he's made that point a number of times in the short time he's been here, perhaps he would now stfu about it and move onto something else.
Actually that is not true, i think he is good at what he does with the Borat character, i have my objections to his racism in choosing to ape a real people though.

But i think his comedy is quite good.
But i have no doubts that because of his lack of acting range , his persona born of his borat success ,and the fact many people dislike him,
his age , how he looks his height and attitude in as far as being able to take directions from others,
the lack of scope of his acting mind which is self evident already-
and how he can not look at a character or the camera and bring the truth in his eyes, shows he has no ability to truly act in a way that will be convincing or good.

i know therefore- that he is a disastrous choice for the portrayal and telling of Freddie and his life story.

and matt
This movie is going to portay Freddie on the screen for time in memorial
it is not about a queen movie score, or a video with real queen in it.
