Just hope to god they correct the speed of the film to the original sound. And Queen production had access to the original film stock and not just a copy.
(fingers crossed).

In the case they fix the speed I'm buying it no matter which cut it will be.

In the case they will NOT fix the speed (which is highly probable since they didn't fix the speed on e.g. the Japan 75 footage), I will complain, complain, complain, complain, complain, then buy it anyway and fix the speed myself :-)

Yes it was. That's the reason why the PAL video releases run too fast

Don't forget they still owe us the 1986 Knebworth concert !

This is the only tour which they made money and they are still making from it.

You just don't get it do you? An expertly filmed Queen concert on FILM restored transferred to BLU RAY !

What's not to like?
(They can keeo the gimmicky, tacky 3D though)

Really ? Am I really the only one who thinks that 3D is a big leap backwards ? [/QUOTE]

Defo NOT. I hate 3D. Very gimmicky and over-priced at the cinmema. Hopefully the novelty will wear off.

I'm all for 4k digital cinema though. THAT would get me back in the cinema again

Granted, it's a fairly good concert for the Magic Tour, but that particular tour is nothing special. There are some great late '70s concerts that were recorded and could be released, for instance Hammersmith '79.

Why only late 70's? The 1974-76 era was great as well. Rainbow 1974 is a good example.

Because there are very few concerts from that period from which they have complete audio and video in decent quality. The best thing I am 100% sure they have is the complete Hammersmith '79 concert. I think it sucks to get Budapest '86 when they could've released Hammersmith '79.

SHIT recorded on film, carefully digitized and transferred to Blu-Ray is still SHIT...only shit in HD. Hammersmith '79 was shot on film - I'd much rather have that than Wembley 2.0.
