The Blu-Ray will not have any speed issues since it will run at 24fps. If a Pal DVD is released, it will of course run faster but they will probably pitch correct it like they did with montreal. You're best bet is to buy a blu-ray player and do away with the issue altogether.

I also wondered, some films experts told me it was shot as "soft matt" - 4:3, so the full picture is like the VHS release and in that case any 16:9 means its butchered?? i am not expert on these..
