if you listen to the 12 inch version of its a hard life...theres a moment in the middle just after the album version ends...freddies vocal there out does anything on the barcelona album, queen albums or live sets...he gives everything in them two takes....and it never made it in the album...

Got to love Live Aid but those wwtlf wembley performances I get goose bumps after "touch my tears with your lips, Touch my world with your fingertips" Really digging the Friday version.

Live Aid, hands down.

Spot on

Single-handedly giving Queen's career a new life and making it possible to do their biggest tour ever while promoting the weakest album of their career ! And with a sore throat!

I would also mention Bo Rhap at Knebworth, which is a great performance and because I have the gut feeling Freddie knew it was the last time he would sing his masterpiece (the "uh" before starting the song is very telling IMHO)

sometimes it's easy to read things into something that isn't there...that "uh" could just as easily be "fuck i'm knackered" - he'd just come out of that ten-minute mental rock n roll medley

Sure thing

It's just Freddie had been dropping some chilling hints towards the end of the tour, never saying "see you next time" etc and the "uh" I interpret in this light

But it very well could have been "uh there's beer on the ivories" for all I know :-)

actually..you probably stumbled on it with that last comment possibly a "fuck, after that lot i need a beer"

I always thought his line ..."Start again with somebody new...." from Montreal version of Save Me was quite nice
way to go to ruin an amusing diversion
back on track..."hot cut"?????
think he described Jim's 7-incher as a "knife through butter"
Oops..........
