But.. its like 95% of the book like the freddie box.
I'm sure i saw a couple of pictures that were new.
However wasn't worth the price/size/content.
But its a good opportunity for the people who didn't got the box in 2001. isn't ?
Not all Queen Fans are hard core collectors that never missed a release

A reprint would be totally okay but it should be called a reprint and not a new product. I am not complaining about the book, I am only complaining about the mis-labelling. What annoys me most is the fact that the old fans - owners of the Freddie box - are those who are being screwed.

*mumbles something about Jim and dementia...* ;)
It's Jim Beach screwing us all over again. I'll stick with my FM solo boxset.
I have met him he just doesnt care what we think somebody choke him!!!
Thanks for the info
Let me get this straight. If I own http://eil.com/shop/moreinfo.asp?catalogid=426161 then I do not need to buy the book, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Freddie-Mercury-The-Great-Pretender/dp/1847960081/ref=pd_bxgy_d_h__text_b. But what about the BD, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Great-Pretender-Blu-ray-Freddie-Mercury/dp/B008H4RU9U/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_b? Is this worth getting?
The blu-ray is worth buying. The book isn't imo.
Thanks for letting us know YV.
well, i don't have the freddie box set, so, i will buy this book...
LADRI
Agree with the bulk of comments above. There is very little, if anything new in the book - if you don't count the lengthy intro. Certainly no new pictures. Sad thing is, I would have bought it anyway even if I had known this!
The DVD is certainly worth buying. A very well compiled documentary and certainly had plenty 'new' footage and interview excerpts for a seasoned fan like myself. I think it clocked in at about 1 hr 20 odd minutes so it is a very long feature but very compelling the whole way through. It will be edited heavily for the TV. The extras are pretty uninspiring though.
