First post in a very long time...

but "if" this acetate does have a different mix (and it is equally available to all) should it be for sale on a public auction site?

Not sure I understand the question? Why shouldn't it be sold on a public auction site?

Exactly, If you have £9000 to spare you may possibly find out how it came to be.

Perhaps the time is at last right for listing the Hangman acetate.

Buy it now!!

It's probably a fake.

of course it can be. i never understood the logic of those who saw some kind of theft in getting this kind of memorabilia. QP have the same chances (or even more) than anyone else. they surely got the money.

who knows, maybe the acetate is just the standard mix. oh.. and it's located in Russia...
Life is real. so real.

let QP bid and buy it - JSS, I don't get you - what seems to be the problem? my opinion: prob. the same mix as in the single release - it's hard to ask the seller to post even a 10-15 sec. taster - the trouble about acetates

same goes for you - I ask you, respectfully, to upload an audio excerpt of that infamous track and shut everybody (moi included) up

£9000,00 my arse. The last Trident acetate of KQ sold for way less on ebay a few years ago? That one was 2min 55 sec, and is also listed as different from the released version.

Oh How Ridiculous!

Acetates don't instantly = unreleased mixes. Acetates have since been replaced by CD-Rs and digital files. This acetate even has the release date hand written on it, which pretty much confirms it to have been pressed so late in the day that it is the finished mix.

3.00 minutes is the length of track on the album. Though 9000,- is too much for this one...

Oh no problem whatsoever thanks;
I just wondered what the current QZ concensus would be.
IMO: If it is for sale (same mix/fake - or not), then anyone and everyone (provided they are willing to pay) share the same bidding opportunities, and are free (choice) to buy at will.

It's just that a few months back quite a few in here vocally condemned this sort of activity as illegal and compared it to both theft and housebreaking.

But "IF" the bidder is satisfied with their purchase (especially "IF" it was unreleased) - wherein is the harm?
