I would rather he did the sky at night than make the same old shite he's been making for years, who knows, it may draw a line under 'Queen' and those anthology things that are never going to be released will still never be released...

I think he may have read your initial post, well said.[/QUOTE]
Doubt that thoroughly. :) It was almost 24 hours between the time I read the Soapbox entry and the time I made that initial post yesterday, so it could have come down at any point in that period.

I've never seen Sky at Night, but love the thought of Brian doing something like I imagine it to be with his time, his many gifts and his doctorate. I think he'd be terrific at the communication of that kind of information, wonder and enthusiasm, and would love to see it. Even if it was just a couple of specials or something.
I honestly worry about what he's doing to his general scientific credibility among the sane and engaged however. I perused his Twitter for the heck of it today for the first time and noted this jaw dropper in response to a Twitter user that commented on the less than stellar efficacy of the BCG vaccine for cows:
"Ha ! The usual red herrings. You have to wonder, if BCG is so 'poor', why we vaccinate our children with it ?"
Jesus fracking Christ. That's truly stunningly ridiculous, but sadly not in the least uncommon for him on this topic. Note to anybody who defends his science/reason/reasonableness/integrity/etc. on the animal rights topics: for your own good, stop saying cracked things about Brian May on the internet. I'm looking at you Robert Wizard! :)

Not often moved to post on this site. But this time I'd just like to say that friends will be friends - and if you have good ones you are blessed. Well done Brian - continue to do as Patrick did!

Does Brian now own the house? Was it an underhand business move? Is Brian a dirty dealer??
Will he re release the house to gullible Queen fans?
Watch this space....

Patrick Moore's House - "2013 deluxe edition"
same house, same wallpaper, just moved the furniture around a little

Patrick Moore must have earned millions in salary from the BBC over the decades alone, not taking into account his many books and public appearances. I'm struggling with the motive behind this house buy thing. I guess as Moore didn't have a spouse or children distant family may well have sold the house after his death but its still a strange goings on....

Surely anyone who buys the house after Brian will be buying into the Curse?
