In my opinion, best songs from Innuendo album are:

I can't live with you
Ride the wild wind
Don't try so hard
These are the days of our lives
I'm going slightly mad
Innuendo
Bijou
Headlong
Delilah
The show must go on
All gods people
The hitman

A lot of people say Delilah is a weird song, but what about Fairy feller's master stroke then!

Also the show must go on is a song i've never understood - it is more commercial than other material on the album, but a bit predictable, never liked the synth intro and it seemed to have been recorded in too high a key. Maybe it was just a bad recording, it sounds very distorted or something.

Innuendo - EPIC. You can be anything you want to be!
Bijou - So mournful. I could listen to Brian's downtrodden guitar melodies all day long.
The Show Must Go On - Beautiful and inspiring.
Don't Try So Hard - Also pretty mournful, with a wicked guitar solo and ver nice alternating soft and loud passages.
Ride the Wild Wind - Really fun, yet still with a sort of empty dreadful feeling. Very nice rock number. Would have worked great live.
These Are the Days of Our Lives - GORGEOUS guitar solo. For some odd reason, I keep forgetting this song, so I'm pleasantly surprised when it starts up right after God's People.
All God's People - Innuendo and God's People are a sort of return to those operatic vocals Queen had been missing for over a decade. The end of this song is stunning.
The Hitman - Really silly and over-the-top, and some people seem to scoff at it, but I really like its ability to get me going whenever I listen to it.
Lost Opportunity - Really pretty little Brian number. Not on the album, but screw you, it's pretty complete.
I'm Going Slightly Mad - Eh, could be better. Really cool vocal, though, and John Deacon rocks this one, as well as Wild Wind.
Headlong - It's catchy, but not particularly memorable.
I Can't Live With You - I can't listen to this song anymore. Not after hearing the FAR superior Rocks version.
Delilah - See below

Who's complaining about Delilah being weird? I just don't like it because it's SO synthy, and the production is so flat. Fairy-Feller's, meanwhile, is genius. Harpsichords usually sound terrible, but there it sounds really good, strangely enough. I know Delilah is supposed to be lighthearted, but that means it can't have some depth. Some people note that Innuendo's production sounds kind of empty and distant. From what I understand, that's mainly the result of Queens switching to digital recording, which tends to "suck the soul" out of the music compared to analog recording. To be honest, though, that's what I love most about it. That feeling of dread that it provokes in me matches perfectly what the band was going through at the time. It's especially prominent in really downbeat songs like Bijou and Don't Try So Hard. However, it works out horribly in Delilah. Blecch.

Your comments about TSMGO make me cringe a little bit. Yes, it's commercial, and follows a pretty standard structure, although I'll point out that everything in your top five except MAYBE "Try" follow even more standard structures. But I really think you're missing what this song is all about, and the context behind it. Freddie's voice is absolutely beautiful - if you have trouble appreciating that fact, watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GGFdY3Sopc - and the guitar solos are brilliant. Almost everything is so emotional and so perfect. I will agree with you about the synths, though; it sounds terrible and shallow. That's my only complaint. The intro could have sounded better if it was more guitar-heavy.

Innuendo is my third favorite Queen album for a reason (behind ADatR and Q2)

I would say that about half of hardcore Queen fans would put tSMgo in the top 20 of all Queen songs while < 5% would rate it as a below average Queen song. I'm one of the few in the bottom 5%.

You know what really pisses me off about this album? That they edited it for the vinyl release. Then when they did their 180g re-releases, the used the edited version again!

I mean why the fuck would I be investing in 180g versions of the albums if I wanted them incomplete? I get that they were doing close replicas of the artwork etc, but I could have lived with two discs in the sleeve. And to top it off, it sounded like crap anyway!

Are the vinyl (edited) versions of the tracks from Innuendo available online anywhere?

I'd be interested in hearing them.

I don't think it's so much that Delilah is weird. It's a just shitty awkward listen. Nothing clever about it either.

Fairy feller's master stroke on the other hand is another story.

The Innuendo album's dated a bit. Too much synth.

However....

Innuendo - Best track on the album.
I'm going slightly mad - Great stuff. What Queen's all about.
Headlong - Used to think it was rockin' when it first came out, but these days it sounds dated - or maybe I've heard it too much.
I can't live with you - Never liked it really, either version. Clumsy track.
Don't try so hard - Ah, I like this one a lot - The way Fred sings it reminds me of their older material as well.
Ride the wild wind - It's not bad in an early 90's kinda way. Quite like it.
All Gods people - Great if you're into music from the Lion King.
These are the days of our lives - When I first heard this back when it first came out it sounded like an old farts battle cry. I've gotten used to it since, or I've got older. One or the other. Or both. It's nice, but not really the kinda Queen I like.
Delilah - What I said above - shitty awkward listen. Meow!
The Hitman - Nothing amazing. Okay I suppose.
Bijou - Sort of like a... long guitar solo with a bit of singing shoved in the middle then they decided it'd work as a track.
The show must go on - Brilliant.

To my mind, there's four worthy tracks from this album, or rather - four tracks that would've made it an absolutely outstanding album if they'd have written another eight tracks that would've been as good.

Innuendo - I'm going slightly mad - Don't try so hard - The Show must go on.

Fairy Feller is one of their most exciting songs for me, while Delilah is one of their most bland. No comparison at all.

I think that song took on a life and a meaning of it's own after they shot the video for it. That last few seconds, absolutely heartbreaking.

I don't consider myself a very emotional person, or someone that cares much for people I don't know personally, but even I was tearing up at that.
