According to the Fan Club twitter feed , .GB has said a ballad compilation is to be released at the end of the year with an unreleased song on it

I hope that the cover is as good as "Queen Rocks". Good luck with that! That is one of the best l.p. covers of all time as far as I'm concerned.

Also does this mean that "Queen Rocks" will get a re-release?

Don't know if you looked or not, but he also said they've found outtakes of the Prophets Song at Rogers house and the Rainbow dvd is still happening but surprise surprise no release date

Here's what would be the PERFECT tracklisting for this ballad compilation! Yes it would be two discs long but that would not only allow for a re-release of "Queen Rocks" but allow it to be expanded into a two c.d. set as well!

I've never seen a band (Roger & Brian) that exploit their fans as much as Queen does. They will stretch as many compilations out of the same old material as they possibly can....Just repackage it, shuffle the track listing around some and release it. They ought to be ashamed of themselves for real

Although I pretty much agree with you, I doubt that this is actually going to be anything more than Greg spewing some shit, as others have suggested. From what I've heard, the Queen Ballads thing has been around for about as long as Queen Rocks has been released, yet nothing has really surfaced. Why would they do something now?

However, if it does end up being a thing, I would at least be excited for this original track, especially if it's as good as No-One But You. If NOBY was a ballad, then I would assume this supposed new song would be a hard rocker. That would something to be a bit excited for.

I agree but as I have said a trillion times before... why shouldn't they? There are plenty of mugs out there (here?) who will buy it. There are Queen fans queuing up to buy the stuff they already own a million times. They could release The Game with an added extra track of 4 minutes of silence and people will buy it. Re release then re re release......

Who are the fools.. QPL or the idiots who buy the stuff they release.... (10 years on I am still saying the same thing...)
